On the Disney+ streaming service, WandaVision was Marvel Studios’ 1st original series. However, Wanda Maximoff’s Westview event was not its first Marvel television show. Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD aren’t the only Marvel-branded series on Netflix; Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil are also part of the Marvel library.

In spite of being based on Marvel Comics characters, Netflix-based shows never found a place on Disney+. In addition to Marvel Studios having little to no role in their production, the mature content of the film was cited as another factor.

Fortunately, things have improved. According to a recent report, Deadpool 3 has found a new director for the MCU debut of the franchise and the completion of the trilogy.

Deadpool 3 Announcement: Ryan Reynolds Responds.

In response to the news that Shawn Levy will be directing Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3, Reynolds posted a detailed tweet and an amusing poster of Deadpool alongside characters he’s previously played in Shawn Levy films.

Tim Miller and David Leitch who directed Deadpool and Deadpool 2. Meanwhile, Shawn Levy has previously worked with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and Netflix’s The Adam Project.

Levy only acknowledged that he is a “massive fan of Deadpool” when asked about directing a third Deadpool film for Ryan Reynolds. In contrast, Reynolds has made no secret of his desire to see Levy take the helm of the organization. Reynolds recently expressed his support for Levy’s directorial ambitions, calling it “a dream come true” for him.

Levy’s film with the new Marvel star is plausible to be more “stabby” based on the tone and humour of Free Guy and the heart-tugging quality of The Adam Project. However, that doesn’t mean that Levy and Reynolds’ films have been devoid of Marvel references, connections, or even cameos. As it turns out, they may have truly been hints.

Taika Waititi reprised her role as Korg from Thor: Ragnarok as Merc with a Mouth in Free Guy. Chris Evans, who portrays Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also made an appearance in the film. But it wasn’t Levy-Reynolds’ last film with an MCU star. To promote the film, Mark Ruffalo shared a picture of himself and Reynolds posing with a plastic crate that had been covered in stickers. On one sticker, we found a Deadpool sticker and another one with a Ruffalo-era Hulk.

Fans don’t yet know how long Shawn Levy has been attached to Deadpool 3. Nonetheless, this announcement is great news for the MCU debut of Deadpool and the conclusion of its trilogy.
