Finally, the first episode of Moon Knight has been released, and fans are wondering where the Avengers are. The sixth Disney+ series from Marvel Studios kicks off in 2022. It introduces a new character, played by Oscar Isaac, this time around. However, due to the MCU’s reputation for interweaving storylines, the fate of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes has been the subject of speculation.

Because of the coronavirus outbreak, Marvel Studios had to make a few adjustments to their Phase 4 release schedule. As a result, it’s impossible to say with certainty when certain projects will be completed. Everything happens after Avengers: Endgame, so there’s no confusion. However, this is also the case with Moon Knight, despite the limited ties to the larger MCU. However, Disney+ recently revealed that its events take place after Hawkeye’s, which is a little surprising.

Dealing With The Consequences

It’s easier to understand what the Avengers are doing now that we know that Steven Grant has multiple personalities, such as Marc Spector, Moon Knight, and Mr Knight, inside of him. Clint Barton is either spending quality time with his family or continuing Kate Bishop’s training at this point in the movie.

Since Spider-Man: No Way Home takes place before Hawkeye, Doctor Strange is likely occupied with the consequences of his actions in aiding Peter Parker. “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” better addresses this. In addition, the events of Moon Knight take place in a world where Peter Parker is no longer known as Spider-Man. As a result, it’s likely that the wall-crawler is too busy patrolling the streets of New York to be concerned about what’s happening in London, the setting for Moon Knight.

It was revealed in Spider-Man: Far From Home that both Chris Hemsworth and Brie Larson are still off-world in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In contrast, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk could still be in his laboratory, helping his cousin, Jennifer Walters/Hulk. WandaVision suggests that Scarlet Witch is nearing the end of her self-imposed exile; however, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness suggests that she is already on the move.

As for Captain America’s current location, it’s impossible to tell. At this point in time, Sam Wilson is already operating as the new Star-Spangled Avenger, as the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier take place long before Moon Knight. There is no indication of what he has been doing. The Secret Invasion role of Rhodey suggests that he is involved in government affairs.

Moon Knight has yet to air its first episode, so any of the Avengers could make an appearance. Even if a guest character were to show up, it’s likely that they’d only appear in a minor capacity. There isn’t much to worry about because the show will be free to tell its own story. If anything, Marc/Steven will one day become a part of the greater universe.
