Captain America: New World Order is without a doubt one of the most intriguing Marvel films in Phase 5 of the MCU. If nothing changes in the plan, it will be the chapter’s penultimate adventure, going straight into Thunderbolts.
While Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes has yet to be confirmed for Captain America: New World Order, a new report suggests how he’ll play a role in the MCU sequel.

Sam Wilson’s first MCU solo film is set to begin filming in only two months, at the end of March. The fourth installment of the Captain America franchise will feature a new Captain America, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), behind the shield.
Anthony Mackie will lead a cast that includes both recognizably familiar faces and MCU newbies in the big-screen sequel to Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Stan is also confirmed for another MCU cameo in Thunderbolts, where he plays a more heroic part alongside a unique group of misfits in what is presently slated as Phase 5’s last film.

Captain America 4 will have a superb cast of key individuals involved in events that might have a direct impact on Thunderbolts. That crossover will air a few months later. Captain America 4 will most likely have an influence on Avengers 5 and 6, bringing the Multiverse Saga to an end.

The Cosmic Circus has brought fresh information regarding Sebastian Stan‘s upcoming role as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: New World Order.
According to the report, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier may appear in at least one scene of the new Captain America film. According to the source, the script for New World Order was revised before the new year, and the character’s role may have been adjusted to expand or lessen his presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.

He was not confirmed as a member of the cast at the D23 Fan Expo, and Marvel Studios is yet to confirm the claim.

During the Thunderbolts presentation at the D23 Expo 2022, Stan, who previously worked with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/The Falcon in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+, freely joked about being free from his co-star.

“All I can say is that freedom tastes sweet.” “Finally, I am free,” Stan said. “No, I love him… It is weird, of course. That’s, you know, a little bit like… what’s that, Stockholm syndrome or something? When you’re like, “I might not… you know… but anyway, it’s nice to at least always be close to each other.”

Captain America: New World Order, directed by Julius Onah, is a direct continuation of the events of the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Anthony Mackie returns to his role as Sam Wilson, the hero formerly known as Falcon, who has taken up the shield and mantle of his retired Avengers comrade Steve Rogers. According to the events of the TV series, Mackie considers Wilson’s absence of super-soldier power as a feature of his character that separates him from the other Avengers. While plot details are unknown, Wilson will cross paths with another old MCU villain in the form of Samuel Sterns/The Leader. Tim Blake Nelson will reprise his role as the villain after a long absence since the last film, The Leader, in 2008.

Captain America: New World Order hits theaters on May 3, 2024, with the Winter Soldier next appearing in Thunderbolts on July 26, 2024.
