House of the Dragon episode 5 is out, and we got a vibrant glimpse at lot of things. Rhaenyra and Ser Laenor are now married and the things will take a different turn from next week.
Trailer Breakdown of House Of The Dragon Episode 6
Episode 6 is going to be a time jump and in the trailer we see older characters of Alicent, Rhaenyra, Aegon II and others. It is good about the show that they are speeding up the storyline and not taking it slow as Game of Thrones.
Unlike Game of Thrones where the creators took time to build the show and allowed the characters to naturally age and fit to their roles as per the storyline.
Moving onto the trailer, it opens up with a council meeting discussing about the latest developments in the stepstones. King Viserys asks for Daemon to discuss on this matter, because he was the one who conquered stepstones and freed it from the crab feeders.
To this, Queen Alicent, the older version of her, responds by saying that Prince Daemon has left stepstones undefended since a decade now. Princess Rhaenyra replies, “We left it undefended!”
Introducing the New Actors
The trailer intended to introduced us to the new actors casted to play the older versions of Princess Rhaenyra and Queen Alicent Hightower. As they are both at the council meeting, it intends that Princess is now having the power to raise voice and make suggestions for the realm. She is finally doing the job of a heir instead of just being a cup bearer to her father.
In the next few scenes, we see children of Alicent and Rhaenyra, living their life around dragons. A voiceover says, “What are children but weakness? Through them you will imagine you persist forever.”
Right in the next scene we get a glimpse at grown-up Aegon II Targaryen, who is being told that he will be the king to seven kingdoms. Rhaenyra is then seen carrying a baby and walking alongside her son, while he is probably looking at his dragon.
Moving forward we see Alicent talking to King Viserys about children. She is saying, “Having one child is a mistake, but three is an insult.” Now, they might probably be talking about Rhaenyra here, or she is complaining about being used by King to produce children, but none of them are being appointed as heir, because King made his decision way before they got married.
King Viserys responds to Alicent by calling her words as allegations. And just after that we see Rhaenyra or Alicent’s son calling out ‘Dracarys’. The next episode is going to be the perfect platform to set Aegon vs. Rhaenyra for the throne.
