The future of the MCU was set forth in great detail in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Being the last movie in Marvel Studios’ Phase 4, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever inevitably contained several aspects that anticipated Phases 5 and 6. The narrative of the Wakandan people, who were coping with King T’Challa’s death and a possible conflict with a secret aquatic kingdom, was told in the movie, which was once again written and directed by Ryan Coogler.

Black Panther 2 has numerous themes essential to the MCU’s future, including its portrayal of Wakanda as a nation, aspects relating to Wakanda like vibranium, the introduction of Namor and Riri Williams, and some indications at future MCU threats. There are many  revelations from the movie that are related to Phase 5 and Phase 6.

Because Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige wants to include an enormous number of former Marvel characters in one narrative, Avengers: Secret Wars already appears to be the biggest comic book movie ever made. Rumor has it that the X-Men and Fantastic Four will join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in their fight against Kang the Conqueror and Doctor Doom in order to prevent them from wreaking havoc on the Multiverse.

T’Challa’s Son

Unquestionably one of the most heartwarming MCU mid-credits scenes to date, Nakia surprised Shuri with the arrival of her son after she burned the ceremonial clothes she wore to T’Challa’s burial.

It turns out that shortly after the incident, she gave birth to King T’Challa’s son. The two also had time to consider that it would be better for their son to grow up outside of Wakanda, free from the demands of the kingdom, before Thanos’ devastating snap.

It’s even more compelling because he bears the same name as his father. The legend of T’Challa lives on, and he may someday assume the title of Black Panther.

While it’s likely that the young T’Challa will still be a few years away from becoming a superhero, Marvel now has the ability to plot a scenario in which his Black Panther character becomes a more important character in the story in the future. The comic book plot that served as the basis for the events in Avengers: Secret Wars may make this a reality.

With Avengers: Secret Wars having the potential to bring T’Challa back into the MCU, Marvel Studios may decide to continue using an older Toussaint after the Multiverse Saga concludes.

In Avengers: Secret Wars, Toussaint’s rendition of T’Challa might have the chance to play a bigger role as an Avenger than he did in the comics for a long time. To counter Kang’s menace, the film might put together a composite version of the team, which surely would include a T’Challa variant.

Given that Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa was the very first Avenger to enter a portal in Endgame, Secret Wars may wish to pay respect to one of the greatest moments from the first Black Panther with Toussaint’s debut.
