After the events of Endgame, it appeared as though the story of the Avengers had come to a fitting conclusion. Despite Kevin Feige’s recent comments about Endgame being the final Avengers movie, the fifth movie seems inevitable. With the release of Endgame and Infinity War, the saga brought the first three phases of the MCU to a close. This began with Iron Man, which provided cinematic backstories for numerous superheroes who would team up as the Avengers and attempt to stop Thanos on his quest to acquire all the Infinity Stones and use them to wipe out half of the universe’s population.

A snap of the fingers and half the population vanished as Thanos used the power of the Infinity Gauntlet and all the Infinity Stones in Infinity War. The surviving Avengers then retaliated by stealing the Infinity Stones, rescuing half of the population, and destroying Thanos in Endgame. The Avengers were able to carry out their plan, but there was still a lot of tragedy in Endgame.

At first glance, this film seemed like a definite conclusion to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ story. A lot of Marvel fans may be sorely tempted by the Avengers to return and hope that the movie ends on a high note. Although the story may be considered closed for the time being, the return of the Avengers seems unavoidable. This is so even if it is not from where Endgame left them.

Is Endgame Really The Final Avengers Movie?

Following comments made by Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, there is reason to believe that the Avengers will not be returning as a group. As a result of Feige’s comments, many believe that Endgame will be the final Avengers movie where the OG Earth’s mightiest heroes will appear together as a team in the MCU. Feige’s statement, taken together with Endgame’s conclusion, indicates that a fifth Avengers film is not in the works.

Feige, on the other hand, claims that Avengers: Endgame completed the 22 movies Infinity Saga. The end of the Infinity Saga is what he was referring to when he said that. In the end, the Iron Man movie series came to an end. The endgame may bring an end to the Avengers as we know them. Nonetheless, it doesn’t rule out the possibility of their resurrection or reinvention. Despite the fact that a new Avengers film may not be in the works right now, this does not mean it will never happen.

How Endgame Was A Perfect Ending For The OG Avengers

Endgame gave a soft ending

The idea of an Avengers 5 is a challenging one because it could undo the satisfying conclusion of Avengers: Endgame. It was the perfect sendoff for both Iron Man and Captain America (Robert Downey Jr.) (Chris Evans). Taking advantage of Tony Stark’s self-obsessed and egotistical origin story, Iron Man gave his life to save the universe in order to reverse his narrative trajectory.

While restoring the Infinity Stones to the precise point they were stolen by the Avengers during the Time Heist and preventing the onset of alternate realities, Captain America bids the Avengers farewell with an equally fitting farewell. Rather than return through a time machine, he chooses to live out his days as Captain America. The resolution of Endgame gives Cap the chance to make up for the life he’s been missing out on. Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame wraps up the Infinity Saga by bringing Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) back together with his family and having Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) make the ultimate sacrifice in exchange for her teammate’s soul stone.

However, the MCU’s next film, Far from Home, was largely about Peter Parker dealing with the death of his mentor, Tony Stark. Rather than the end of the Avengers, Endgame may indicate a transition. As a fitting conclusion to the original Avengers, it may have also ushered in a new era for the Marvel Universe.

The production of Avengers 5 appears to be inevitable, given that Endgame’s conclusions cannot be disproved. A sequel to The Avengers is almost certain, given the importance of the MCU’s biggest franchise. Because of the uncertainty surrounding the sequel to Avengers: Endgame, Avengers 5 is almost certainly going to gross over $2 billion worldwide.

Also, some argue that Marvel must do more with the brand. It would be strange not to discover the future with the next-gen as the story only appears to have been concluded for the original Avengers. The Avengers, as a team, are built to be flexible and adaptable. The introduction of new heroes in MCU Phase 4’s multiversal storylines, most particularly in NWH and the forthcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, would be the ultimate payoff in Avengers 5. Avengers movies ending production at a time when the MCU has achieved a new creative high would be unusual, if not a mistake.

Avengers 5 Will Be Here Soon

With The Avengers being released in 2008, the timeline for an Avengers 5 is roughly the same as it was for the initial release of Iron Man. Because of the ramifications of the events of Avengers: Endgame, it’s possible that Avengers 5 will take even longer to complete. Aside from Avengers: Endgame’s release in 2019, the MCU has a number of projects scheduled to be released between now and the end of 2023, which is four years after the release of Avengers: Infinity War.

Both the project and the MCU will need time to properly distance themselves from Endgame. Numerous characters’ destinies in the MCU are currently unclear, and this may not change in time for Avengers 5. Additionally, there is a risk that the movie will fail to live up to the hype surrounding Avengers: Endgame, despite the fact that the MCU has never explicitly ruled out the resumption of the Avengers franchise.
