Hulk’s Ragnarok’s missing storyline may be revealed in the MCU’s She-Hulk series. The forthcoming Disney+ series features Jennifer Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk played by Tatiana Maslany. Much of She-Hulk will naturally focus on her narrative. However, Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner will also play a major role. A few of his untold MCU tales could be revealed in this way.
Since Mark Ruffalo took on the role of Hulk in the MCU, he has indeed been cast aside in comparison to the other founding members of the Avengers. The Hulk was still an integral part of all four Avengers films and Thor: Ragnarok. However, he was never the center of attention. That may still be the case with She-Hulk. Nonetheless, the episodic nature of the series could allow the show to delve more into Bruce Banner’s MCU backstory. There are numerous theories as to how this could occur, including flashbacks to Bruce’s childhood. That being said, She-Hulk can tell Hulk’s Ragnarok’s missing storyline by focusing on his time on Sakaar.
Hulk was away from Earth for 3 years amid Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers: Infinity War. He spent the majority of this time on Sakaar, where he was named the Grandmaster’s newest Champion. Since time on Sakaar is diametrically opposed to that on Earth, the Hulk could have spent a lot more time there before the events of Thor: Ragnarok. She-Hulk may introduce Skaar, the Hulk’s son, to the MCU storyline, which would explain why so much time has passed since Hulk first appeared in the MCU. According to speculation, if that’s the case, She-Hulk will provide evidence that Bruce Banner was much more involved in the Hulk’s life than just his battles on Sakaar.
Marvel Studios should use She-Hulk to flesh out Hulk’s narrative in this manner and reveal or explain what had happened to him on Sakaar. Thor: Ragnarok only hinted at his time in the ring. However, it was clear that he was extremely popular around the world. The idea that this led to a romantic relationship and the birth of a child is a reasonable one. Skaar is a fictional character first introduced in the aftermath of World War Hulk in comic books. Skaar was the secret offspring of Hulk and Caiera the Oldstrong during Planet Hulk. Despite Skaar’s initial resentment toward Bruce for abandoning them and causing Sakaar’s death, he and Bruce eventually came to terms, and Hulk began to train his son.
Skaar’s inclusion in She-Hulk will help fill in some of Hulk’s backstory that was left out of Thor: Ragnarok. Furthermore, it will also help set up some of the MCU’s future. Skaar is a member of the Dark Avengers in the comics. However, his appearance would be timely if the World War Hulk movie were to be made soon after. Mark Ruffalo’s MCU hero, the World War Hulk, is rumored to be getting his own movie, and it would be only natural if Skaar appeared in it. She-MCU Hulk’s future could benefit from either flashbacks or Hulk returning to Sakaar to discover what happened after he left.
