Hydra World: Doctor Strange 2 Photo Makes Multiverse Revelation

As seen in Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Madness, we’ve been transported to Hydra World. This movie will be unlike any other in the MCU’s history when Marvel Studios first announced plans for a sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange. It was, however, only three universes that were featured in the final cut of the Sam Raimi-directed film. Because of the powers of America Chavez, Doctor Strange 2 featured a mind-boggling sequence in which she and Benedict Cumberbatch traveled through twenty universes.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the 40-second teaser for the multiverse traveling teaser was enough to reveal some major teases. The three-face design of the Living Tribunal was immediately recognizable to Marvel fans in one of the universes. Savage Land, a legendary prehistoric location in the comics, continued to be the subject of speculation in the dinosaur-populated world. After arriving on Earth-838, Strange and Chavez visited a universe made of paint as well as a high-tech world before returning to Earth-838.

The trip to Hydra World has only been confirmed now that an official image of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been released. Hydra World was featured in an account on Variety about Framestore VFX, the company that developed the multiverse sequence. One can see Hydra’s dominance in this universe by the giant blimp that flies through the sky in the black-and-white photograph of Strange and Chavez.

Welcome To The Hydra World

Hydra World Multiverse

Doctor Strange

Just another example of how much Marvel crammed into this sequence is Hydra World’s inclusion in Doctor Strange 2’s 22 universes Hydra hasn’t played a significant role in the MCU narrative since Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when Hydra took control of SHIELD and Captain America and others destroyed it. The Hydra World in Doctor Strange 2 is not an extension of this story. but it would seem to be a “What If” scenario that envisions a world where Captain America did not stop Hydra back during World War II.

This Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness photo shows a glimpse of Hydra World. but it also serves as a reminder of how limited the movie’s multiverse travels were in comparison to other Marvel films. This is a fascinating idea, but the film only gave it a few seconds to shine in the final cut of the movie. Chris Evans as Hydra Supreme could have appeared in another multiverse sequence in which Hydra World served as the setting. It’ll have to do for now as an Easter egg or a hint at what Marvel Studios might do with the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness image from Hydra World.
