Elizabeth Olsen, who played Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has been dropping hints about her possible return to the character. Fans have been speculating about her fate since the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in which Wanda seemingly perished.

Recent Comments On Coming Back To The Role

In a Comfest Con appearance in February, Olsen hinted at a reprisal. Last September, she expressed to a news website that her desire to redeem the character from her nefarious acts in Multiverse of Madness. And now, the actress has again commented on a possible comeback in her MCU role.

During an interview, Olsen was asked if Wanda Maximoff will appear in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. While she expressed uncertainty, she teased that she may be coming back, saying, “I don’t know ever how to answer these questions, except I don’t… I think I’ll be back…”

Possible Appearances In Phases 5 & 6

Aside from Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Olsen could also reprise Wanda in the rumored Vision Quest Disney+ series, according to Deadline. Given her powerful abilities and potential redemption arc, she could also appear in the upcoming Avengers team-up movies.

Wanda And Agatha’s History

Agatha: Coven of Chaos seems like a natural fit for Wanda to make her presence known, given her history with Agatha Harkness. Maximoff put Harkness in a hex in WandaVision, causing her to believe she was simply a resident of Westview, New Jersey named Agnes. The show is currently without a release date, but recent rumors suggest it may be delayed from its projected spot in late 2023/early 2024.
