New photos from the set of Daredevil: Born Again have revealed a connection to Netflix’s Daredevil series, sparking questions about the canonicity of the latter. Born Again, which is currently in production, stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Jon Bernthal, who are reprising their roles from the super-powered Netflix shows. While Marvel’s website suggested that Cox’s portrayal of Matt Murdock in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the same as in the Netflix series, there is still uncertainty over whether Born Again takes place in the same universe.
The 15th Precinct Connection
Twitter user Daredevil Updates posted an image showing characters from the Disney+ series exiting the 15th Precinct police station, which was created for Netflix’s Daredevil series. The same police station has been referenced twice in the MCU on the “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!” ride at Disney’s California Adventure. During the ride, visitors can see the 15th Precinct welcoming Captain America to their offices, as well as on wanted posters featuring Cosmo the Space Dog and the Abilisk from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Netflix’s Daredevil: Is It Canon Or Not?
The actual canonicity of Netflix’s Daredevil series has been a topic of debate among fans since the show’s inception. This debate has only intensified as Marvel Studios has brought back actors and characters from the Netflix line of the Marvel series and dropped them into the current MCU story. However, the fact that Marvel is selectively picking elements to bring back for Daredevil: Born Again raises doubts about the show’s canonicity. While the 15th Precinct mentions across two recent MCU ventures complicate the canon conversation, it remains unclear whether Daredevil is part of the MCU canon or not.
