She-Hulk episode 8 has now been released on Disney+. Fans have been claiming that it is the best episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The episode had a lot of action, humor, flirting, fourth wall breaking and even a great ending twist. Best of all we get to see Charlie Cox return to the MCU as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. The addition of Leap-Frog too was a hilarious one. So here’s the good and the bad of She-Hulk episode 8.

She-Hulk gets her comic-accurate super suit

In the episode, She-Hulk is seen going to Leap-Frog’s rescue after an anonymous assailant attacks him and jumps his car. The attacker turns out to be Daredevil who’s actually trying to save Luke Jacobson from Leap-Frog. This is when She-Hulk gets into a fight with Daredevil temporarily and is seen wearing her comic-accurate purple suit. It’s something fans have been waiting to see. The suit also seems to have the ability to shrink down to Jen’s size.

Everything about Daredevil’s appearance

Daredevil’s appearance in She-Hulk was almost perfect. The episode captured his brooding, dark nature while still maintaining a funny charm. They included Daredevil’s iconic Billy Club, played his Netflix theme in the background and talked about Hell’s Kitchen. The fight scenes involving him were also pretty good. Daredevil seems to have become even more swift and agile.

Matt Murdock and Jen Walters

This was definitely the highlight of the episode. The chemistry between Tatiana Maslany and Charlie Cox was off the charts. They played off of each other perfectly. The quips and the flirty teasing was perfectly in line with the tone of the show. Fans too are extremely excited and wonder what the future holds for them. My favorite moment was when Matt inspires Jen to do more with her powers and to be a superhero so as to help the one’s who have been failed by the law.

The ending just gave She-Hulk so much more depth

She-Hulk has been a pretty one-dimensional character. This was till her retreat with Emil Blonsky where she finally accepted herself. But the side of She-Hulk that we see in episode 8 gives her character a lot more complexity and layers. She is shown to be fallible and gives in to her anger. For the first time she realizes how Bruce must have felt being perceived as a monster all those years. After all, what happened in the gala was bound to affect her. This makes the season finale even more interesting and exciting.

MCU finally addresses the Sokovia Accords

Fans have been wondering what happened to the Sokovia Accords ever since Endgame and the blip. The MCU had never officially addressed the issue. However in She-Hulk episode 8, during the court proceedings of Leap-Frog vs Luke Jacobson, Matt Murdock says that the Sokovia Accords have been repealed. It’ll be interesting to see whether any more such treaties are introduced in the MCU in the future.

All in all there isn’t much we could criticize in She-Hulk episode 8. The entire episode had a great pace, finally some combat and another whacky superhero in the form of Leap-Frog. Leap-Frog was absolutely hilarious and so stupid. But he should have definitely broken his legs or suffered worse injuries after the first fall of his.
