After making waves in Hollywood with her roles in Scream VI and the Netflix series Wednesday. Jenna Ortega may be joining the cast of the highly anticipated sequel to Beetlejuice. According to insiders and various sources, Ortega is reportedly in talks to play the role of Lydia Deetz, the daughter of Winona Ryder’s character in the original 1988 film.

Tim Burton, who directed the original film, is returning to direct Beetlejuice 2. He has reportedly enlisted several members of the original cast, including Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara.

Reports also claimed that one of the ghosts in the film will be played by an “aging action star” who is “a little bit past their prime,” although there is no information on who that may be at this time.

With her involvement in the horror genre. Ortega is quickly becoming a rising star in Hollywood and is on the path to becoming a horror icon.
