Despite being of Latin American ethnicity, Lopez admits that Affleck’s Spanish far surpasses her own. She expressed her admiration, saying, “I speak Spanish, and I know Spanish. I know Spanish well, but I still get self-conscious – not him!” Affleck’s fluency in Spanish has always been a point of pride for him, and it is one of the reasons why Lopez’s mother has always been charmed by him.

Lopez’s latest movie, The Mother, co-starring Lucy Paez, also of Latin American ethnicity, has helped her connect more deeply with her role as a mother in real life. During the filming of the movie, Lopez took Paez under her wing and helped her prepare for the high-intensity stunts and emotional scenes. Despite the challenges, both actresses had a great experience filming the movie.
The Mother will be released on Netflix on May 12th, 2023.
