George Lucas’ STAR WARS is one of the most influential and long-running franchises in American sci-fi history, the cult classic began as a planned trilogy but spawned nine motion pictures, spin-off films, TV shows, and much more. With an enormous fan base of this sci-fi action adventure all across the world, this revolutionary franchise has nurtured its prominence all along with the three trilogies consistently.
With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the franchise marks the end of the entire Skywalker Saga but the fans are still enthusiastic about episode X. Though the last part of the trilogy received mixed reviews and the president of the Lucas film KATHLEEN KENNEDY, was constantly blamed for this misfortune, still, fans are rather optimistic about its sequel.
JOHN BOYEGA, the stormtrooper FINN from the Star Wars franchise, starred in The Force Awaken (2015), The Last Jedi (2017), and The Rise of Skywalker (2019). As we know he hadn’t always been positive about his experience in the film, also about the Lucas film and Disney, and talked about the exasperation. In a video clip that recently went viral, we may get to see a little change of heart.
A video went video via the palpamemes (@palpyYT) on twitter in which John Boyega was asked about his return to Star Wars, he rather keeps an optimistic requirement by suggesting that:
“Whichever way, I am open to the conversation as long as it is Kathleen,
J.J., and maybe someone else and the team, it’s a no-brainer”.
From this statement made by Boyega, it is quite evident that the actor specifically wants to work with Kathleen and J.J Abrams and some other star casts as well but from the past experiences, it is distinguishable for the fans that he wouldn’t want to work again with Rian Johnson.
In this same interview, he also stated “But this time, I’m sorry, I’d just be a bit more adamant about the story. And I think everybody would, I think even Oscar, even Daisy. I think everybody would be kind of like if we are going to come back. Or, maybe, perhaps, some new characters that we help and facilitate”.
Last year, Boyega shared the news of being unhappy with the development of Finn’s storyline and thence claimed that he has no plans of returning to this franchise after the trilogy is completed. He said :
“Nobody else in the cast had people saying they were going to boycott the movie because (they were in it). Nobody else had the uproar and death threats sent to Instagram DMs and social media, saying, ‘black this and black that and you shouldn’t be a stromtrooper’. Nobody else had that experience but yet people are surprised I’m this way. That’s my frustration”.
Perhaps, it is pellucid from Boyega’s statement that his return totally depends on the right people and the right cast and it can be manifested from the reaction of the fans on this video that his fans would love to see him again.
