Marvel Studios is about to launch what is about to be the biggest movie of 2021. We are just a couple of weeks away from the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Social media expectations and hype for the movie are sky-high. Such anticipation for a Marvel movie hasn’t been seen since the days of Avengers: Endgame. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently started going on the promotional tour for the movie. The film will see Tom Holland’s Spidey battle classic villains like Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin.

After more than a year’s worth of teases and leaks regarding the movie’s characters and story, fans are now anxious about what Sony and Marvel have in store for the last movie in the MCU Spider-Man trilogy. The trailers and promotional tour tidbits have shown that fans should expect a multiversal story along with Peter Parker’s identity crisis. As such, these two topics will surely fill up the film’s reported 148-minute runtime. During the current promotional tour for the movie, Marvel boss Kevin Feige was asked about potential plot spoilers. To this, he responded with his classic sense of vaguery.

The speculation regarding the movie began way back in October 2020 with Jamie Foxx’s casting. Back then, there were reports that Jamie Foxx would reprise his The Amazing Spider-Man 2 role of Electro in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Foxx then went on Instagram to share a pic of his Electro in front of all the three live-action Spider-Men. During a new interview with Cinema Blend, Marvel boss Kevin Feige remembered this moment and shared his reaction when that photo was posted.

He didn’t give details about his thought process during that time. He kept his response brief and said that nowadays, he is numb to the spoiler posts on social media like the one Foxx shared.

Here’s what he said:

“I’m numb to it now. I’m numb to anybody tweeting anything about anything. Politics, movies, Marvel, just numb.”

We all know that Kevin Feige is no stranger to spoilers regarding the MCU. After all, he has dealt with the antics of stars like Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland over the years. We all know how Ruffalo spoiled the big twist in Avengers: Infinity War almost a year before its release by saying, “everyone dies.” Also, recently Angelina Jolie spoiled various parts of The Eternals.

Now, it’s clear that Spider-Man: No Way Home has way more spoilers than the average MCU movie. Through all of this, Feige has been chiefly a spectator watching from the sidelines and trying to do damage control to keep the movie’s secrets hidden.

Even though he is numb to the spoilers, Feige still believes that fans should get the best experience possible when it comes to the MCU, including No Way Home. Fans only have to look at how he pretty publicly called out star Alfred Molina for his interview on how he will be returning to the Spideyverse from his days as Doc Ock on Spider-Man 2.No Way Home is close to releasing, and after that comes Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So it looks like there’s no respite for Feige soon.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will swing into theaters on December 17, 2021.
