Mutants are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and some of them have already arrived. Kamala Khan’s origins underwent a significant alteration , while Namor, who is often referred to in comics as The First Mutant, was featured in last night’s Hollywood premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. But She-Hulk and everyone else are interested in knowing when the X-Men will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

More than just Wolverine fans will find excitement in Jackman’s return because it is the MCU’s first significant entry into the mutant population. Marvel hasn’t done much with the X-Men cast of characters despite Disney having purchased the film rights to them back in 2019, just giving little hints as to what the future may bring.

At the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever world premiere, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige discussed the Mutants’ and other X-Men characters.

When questioned about the topic that appears to be on everyone’s mind—when will the X-Men finally make their debut in the MCU Feige played diplomatic, making jokes about his recent robotic cameo in She-Hulk Finale and mentioning Deadpool 3, he said, “Deadpool and Wolverine, you know, we’re getting there.”

It appears that various future projects may be doing more to open the door for the mutants than it seems. Till then, fans anxiously await Marvel’s mutant-based Super-team to join the MCU.

Marvel Studios’ plans for the X-Men are still a closely-guarded secret, despite this small amount of knowledge. No live-action X-Men projects have been confirmed three years after the Disney and Fox acquisitions that made it possible for the characters to be featured in the MCU, and it’s unknown whether or not the X-Men are intended to play any part at all in Marvel Studios’ current Multiverse Saga. However, the studio is currently working on X-Men ’97, a revival of the beloved X-Men: The Animated Series that is scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus in 2023.
