There has never been a filmmaking achievement like the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s in the last two decades. As a result of The Avengers, the concept of an interrelated canon across multiple franchises was possible. Moreover, it blossomed into something that no one could have ever imagined. It goes without saying that a number of people were involved in making this happen, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is the most important one.
In the history of film, he will be regarded as one of the most influential producers, and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. Indeed, Thor: Love and Thunder’s first teaser trailer has just been released by Marvel Studios as part of its marketing campaign.
In light of all the projects Feige has worked on over the years, one has to question what his personal collection of memorabilia might look like, given the number of projects he has worked on. For the first time since his departure from Marvel Studios, a sliver of his office has been made public, revealing some of his most prized possessions.
Disney executive Asad Ayaz shared a glimpse of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige’s office on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California, as the marketing for Thor: Love and Thunder begins.
There is a slew of interesting details visible in the newest image. The first item is a folding chair with Feige’s name emblazoned on the back. In addition, Robert Downey Jr. signed a life-size bust of Iron Man’s Mark III helmet. An Infinity War hat with an Ant-Man helmet stacked on top of it can be found atop it.
The entire Infinity Saga is listed on a hoodie hanging on the coat rack in the style of a band’s tour shirt. Finally, there is a huge statue of the first Iron Man suit to the left of the entrance.
The photo’s caption reads:
“The awesome office of Kevin Feige on this momentous Thor: Love And Thunder campaign launch day #Marvel Studios.”
Kevin Feige is responsible for overseeing a staggering number of projects. If he ever does, it will be a miracle that he is able to get a good night’s sleep.
To be fair, Feige appears to have done an excellent job picking out his trinkets in the video, especially the baseball cap. The inclusion of Iron Man is also appropriate. This is so given how the MCU began and how the Infinity Saga came to a close.
That said, the glaring absence of a life-size Infinity Gauntlet replica is difficult to ignore. Is it possible that the culprit is lurking behind the camera? Josh Brolin, for one, would be a little miffed if it were missing.
To what extent will Feige be adding to his ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe collection in the future? Is this a replica of the throne of Kang the Conqueror? The helmet of Dr. Doom? We’ll have to wait and see.
