Actor Vincent D’Onofrio, who played Kingpin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has teased the possibility of a showdown between Kingpin and Spider-Man. Despite Spidey’s recent battles against iconic villains in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans are still eager to see him take on Wilson Fisk, one of his most infamous foes from the comics.

D’Onofrio has expressed his hope to interact with Spider-Man after their many battles in the comics, now that his Kingpin is confirmed for integration within the greater MCU. During an appearance at Raleigh’s GalaxyCon, he hyped up a potential on-screen meeting with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, offering a terrifying statement for the web-slinger while hyping up his future for fans: “Eventually, I will beat Spider-Man’s ass.”

As Marvel Studios works on the future of Spider-Man in the MCU, Kingpin appears to be one of the biggest destinations after Tom Holland’s hero helped save the multiverse in No Way Home. There have even been Easter eggs in other projects, such as the Disney+ Hawkeye series, pointing to the wall-crawler coming to blows with Kingpin. But it’s unclear whether Wilson Fisk will be involved in Spider-Man 4, as rumors suggest he might also appear in Spider-Man: Freshman Year on Disney+. The release date for Spider-Man 4 is also unknown, with rumors suggesting it may come shortly after Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+.

D’Onofrio’s desire to see a Kingpin vs. Spider-Man battle in live-action is shared by many fans of the MCU. With Kingpin confirmed for integration within the greater MCU, it’s only a matter of time before he faces off against the web-slinger. Whether it will be in Spider-Man 4 or another project remains to be seen, but the anticipation is already building for this long-awaited matchup.
