Krysten Ritter, the star of the Netflix series Jessica Jones, recently expressed her interest in returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) despite rumors of her replacement with another character.

Speculation began when Ritter posted a photo on social media of her wearing a Daredevil t-shirt earlier this year. In March, she was also seen with a makeover resembling her old Jessica Jones persona, leading fans to believe that she might appear in Charlie Cox’s upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again.

Ritter’s Hopes For A Return

In an interview with Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Ritter was asked about the possibility of her return to the MCU. Although she admitted that she had “no idea,” she mentioned that she would “be there in a second” if given the chance.

Reports suggested that Ritter was originally set to appear in Daredevil: Born Again but was replaced due to scheduling conflicts. Instead, the character was filled by Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. Industry insiders noted that this was a possibility, but Ritter has not given up hope for a cameo in the future.

When Might Ritter Return?

The exact reason why Matt Murdock (played by Cox) would have sought out Jessica Jones for help in the MCU remains unclear. However, Ritter’s potential return could not come at a better time as fans have expressed interest in seeing her and Mike Colter’s Luke Cage make a comeback.

Although the return of Netflix actors to the MCU remains uncertain, fans of Iron Fist might have to worry as Finn Jones’s character was not popular among audiences. It remains to be seen if characters from Agents of SHIELD or Agent Carter will also make an appearance in the MCU.

Despite rumors of her replacement, Ritter’s love for playing Jessica Jones remains strong. She admitted that she would “absolutely just die to play Jessica again,” leaving fans with hope for her return.
