Along with Cardellini, Asim Chaudhry is set to play Teefs the Walrus, a character likely inspired by Marvel Comics’ Wal Rus, an engineer who travels with Rocket and his crew of animals. Mikaela Hoover will play Floor the Rabbit, tied closely to Blackjack O’Hare, a mercenary who leads a group called the Black Bunny Brigade. Gunn teased a scene featuring these “best friends” where they dream about going out into the world to experience freedom.
