Loki Will Reportedly Return In Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness

After Loki’s season finale, it has been reported that Tom Hiddleston will indeed show up in the Doctor Strange sequel, Multiverse of Madness. Benedict Cumberbatch will lead the movie, and right now, it is one of the most anticipated sequels of the MCU.

It’s pretty clear right now that Marvel has more plans for the God of Mischief. After all, there’s a season 2 coming that was announced at the season finale. In a surprising twist, Jonathan Majors showed up in Loki. This was after months of him denying rumors that he was going to show up as Kang the Conqueror.

However, we can’t hold it against Majors since he isn’t directly referred to as Kang the Conqueror. Instead, he is known as He Who Remains, a version of Kang. The events which happened in the finale broke the Sacred Timeline and it looks like this is where Doctor Strange steps in to try and control the multiverse of madness.

Who Will Be A Part Of Doctor Strange And The Multiverse Of Madness?

Doctor Strange and Wanda will be joined by Loki in the sequel

Not much is known about the movie except the fact that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will be accompanying the sorcerer supreme in this journey. While no one knows if she will be a friend or foe to him, but it’s reasonable to assume that the two magicians will be teaming up in this movie.

Apart from Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor will also be reprising their roles from the first Doctor Strange movie. They will be coming back as Christine Palmer, Wong, and Mordo. Joining them will be Xochitl Gomez as the multiverse hopping America Chavez.

What Will Doctor Strange And The Multiverse Of Madness Deal With?

Doctor Strange will need help to fix the timeline

No one knows right now what the plot of the movie will be. But the post-credits scene of WandaVision does hint at the fact that it will involve Wanda’s kids. Also, Loki’s season finale as well helped us understand what we might be seeing in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

Fans already knew that Loki would lead into the Doctor Strange sequel movie, but there was no way to guess if the link could have been this direct (the Sacred Timeline being broken). Also, Loki’s finale seems to imply that Kang could very well be the villain of the upcoming Doctor Strange movie. At the very least, he might be making an appearance.

Kang is going to pose a lot of problems for the sorcerer supreme

Overall, Loki’s finale throws the door open of the multiverse, and it is definitely going to have major implications for the MCU and the Multiverse of Madness as a whole. But we don’t think that Kang will be the villain of just Doctor Strange’s movie. From the little tease, it does look like he will be playing a big role in other projects as well. Just how big will be his impact? That remains to be seen.

Season 1 of Loki is streaming now on Disney+
