Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated MCU movies. And why shouldn’t it be? After all, Ryan Reynolds’ mercenary will finally make the jump from the Foxverse to the MCU. And he’s not alone. He’s bringing back Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine as well. And now, another Deadpool actor, Lewis Tan, is hinting at a possible return to the franchise as Shatterstar.

Actor Lewis Tan played the superhero mutant Shatterstar in Deadpool 2. Now, he has tweeted a series of emojis with the hashtag of Deadpool 3 that might hint towards his return in the MCU movie. Here’s the tweet:

Lewis Tan’s tweet is especially curious because in Deadpool 2 Shatterstar fell into the sharp rotating blades of a helicopter and died. We all saw his green blood scattered all over. As such, the possibility of his return would have been impossible. But as per Tan’s tweet he might be in the sequel after all.

How Will Shatterstar Return In The Movie?

This isn’t the first time Lewis Tan has tweeted about Deadpool 3. After Hugh Jackman was confirmed to return, Tan replied with a set of emojis indicating a possible return. And now if we factor in the recent emoji set, it’s clear that something is cooking. Also, we think that his return is possible.

After all, it’s rumoured that Deadpool 3 will deal with the multiverse as the merc with a mouth travels through various universes to reach the MCU one. And on the way he will meet several other characters from the Foxverse set of films with Marvel characters. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is reportedly just one of them. It has also been rumoured that Dafne Keen’s X-23 and the Fantastic Four will be in the film too.

But what lends more credence to the multiverse theory are the rumours about Owen Wilson and the TVA being in the movie. So during his multiversal adventure, the fourth-wall-breaking mercenary might meet another universe’s Shatterstar.

Another speculation is that when Wade Wilson used Cable’s time-travelling device in the last movie to change back some deaths, he must have revived Shatterstar as well. After all, in the monologue, Ryan Reynolds says that there are “off-screen events” which are about to happen.

Or maybe Shatterstar’s claims of being from Mojoworld is infact true and his build is indeed superior to humans. And so some alien magic or tech could have brought him back from the dead. However, since neither Ryan Reynolds or Marvel have confirmed Lewis Tan’s role in the movie, so for now we are left deciphering his emoji filled tweet.

What do you think of Lewis Tan’s tweet? Is he just trolling? Or is he in the movie?
