“Ahsoka” is the most anticipated Star Wars Disney+ show of 2023. Till now, we have received a number of rumored plot leaks regarding the upcoming series and they all have only helped bolster the feeling that this is going to be one of the best Star Wars shows ever. Now, a new leak has revealed more information about the plot of the series. The new rumors say that Ahsoka, Ezra Bridger, and Sabine Wren are all going to face off against the Thrawn’s personal army of Stormtroopers. But who are they? Let us tell you more about them.

Making Star Wars reports that Ahsoka, Sabine, and Ezra are going to battle a new group of soldiers. The outlet refers to these soldiers as “Sarassia Stormtroopers.” Grand Admiral Thrawn is the one who sends these soldiers after the trio. Also, the outlet previously reported that the “Ahsoka” show will introduce two brand new characters to Star Wars canon as well.

One of them is called Shin and the other is named Baylon. Both will work for Thrawn. Shin is rumored to be played by Ivanna Sakho. She is a Force sensitive being and she will also be Baylon’s apprentice. As per Making Star Wars’ article, Baylon is the more interesting character of the two since he was a former Jedi who has now been corrupted by the dark side. The outlet also mentions that Baylon will have his own “Sarassia Stormtroopers” army to command.

Ahsoka will meet these two characters for the very first time in the show. It’s also interesting to note that the online site says that Ahsoka, Sabine, and Ezra will face this army together. This means that the trio will probably be reunited soon. A leak a couple of months ago had indicated that Ezra and Thrawn will be stuck in an unexplored area of the Star Wars universe. It remains to be seen how they get out of there.

Ahsoka’s Connection To The Star Wars Sequel Trilogy

Making Star Wars further says that the “Sarassia Stormtroopers” will have their armors initially obliterated. But then they will be repaired and rebuilt with golden veins running throughout their exterior. Viewers of the Sequel Trilogy will remember that Kylo Ren’s helmet has similar veins running through it because it was rebuilt as well.

In canon, Kylo visited Albrekh, an ape who is the Sith’s blacksmith. He is the one who repaired Kylo’s mask. It’s repaired using “Sarrasssian iron.” It is red iron that’s used to heal the cracks and that gives his armor those red veins. The outlet predicts that something similar will happen in “Ahsoka.” But why will the stormtroopers in “Ahsoka” get yellow veins instead of red ones? Making Star Wars explains that it might because of Nightsisters’ magic. As per the outlet:

“I somewhat doubt it will be “Sarassian” as these troopers were “reforged” by The Nightsisters. In The Clone Wars, the Nightsisters of Dathomir had a green magic but these are different Nightsisters from a new place and perhaps their magic is golden instead of green to match the Kintsugi look?”

But the question is- where did these soldiers come from? The site thinks that maybe the Nightsisters resurrected these Stormtroopers. So basically they might be like an undead army. After all, the Nightsisters have previously resurrected undead soldiers to battle General Grievous and Count Dooku’s forces.

But whatever the reason might be. One thing is for sure, the aesthetics of those golden veins plus the red and blue sabers buzzing around will be really amazing to see. Also, this might be one of the many upcoming connections between Ahsoka and Sequel Trilogy characters like Kylo and Rey. After all, one theory states that the Togruta might be the one who saves Ben Solo and helps him and Rey Skywalker in future Star Wars stories.

However, do keep in mind that it’s all just speculation for now. So take it all with a pinch of salt.

Stay tuned for more updates.
