Marvel Studios wrapping up Phase 4 on a major sequel that will take the world of Wakanda to greater heights, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will soon make its MCU debut. Following up on one of the most popular standalone MCU films ever, Black Panther from 2018, this upcoming film will deepen the heritage of the African nation as the Multiverse Saga progresses towards crazier adventures.

The main characters from Black Panther 2 will engage in a massive conflict with the underwater nation of Talocan, which will be commanded by Namor the Sub-Mariner, an underwater mutant who will make his MCU debut.

And in a recent interview, one of Marvel’s top executives even compared Black Panther 2 to one of the best films ever made, stating how the premise of two strong families at battle with one another was comparable to the plot of Black Panther 2.

Nate Moore, the vice president of production and development at Marvel Studios, linked the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to those of the 1972 motion picture classic The Godfather in the most recent issue of Total Film.  https://www.magazinesdirect.com/az-single-issues/6937164/total-film-magazine-single-issue.thtml

Wakanda Forever Is The New Godfather ?

It’s a brave move to compare any movie to Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather, which is recognised as one of the greatest of all-time  movies. But it does make sense when you consider some aspects of the plot of Black Panther 2.

Even while there might not be any mob families in this film, two prestigious countries will be engaged in a fierce conflict  especially in light of Wakanda’s new king. Even though Talokan has not yet been seen in the MCU, Tenoch Huerta has mentioned that Namor views T’Challa as something of an idol, which makes the conflict even more intimate.

Whatever the specifics of the plot are, this will only heighten the feeling that Black Panther 2 will undoubtedly evoke when the  people mourn their king’s passing. Fans will see the development of the two nations’ relationship from start to finish, particularly when the Talokan aquatic people try to establish their authority.
