Marvel Studios is reportedly aiming to complete the Fantastic Four casting as quickly as possible. According to a new rumor, Barbie star Ryan Gosling is on the studio’s radar.

Marvel Studios’ Phase 5 starts next month with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will continue the ongoing Multiverse Saga.
While other films are getting sequels, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is ready to reboot Marvel’s first family, the Fantastic Four. The Fantastic Four returns to Marvel Studios after nearly two decades with Fox, thanks to Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.

The MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) continues to expand into the Multiverse Saga with phase 5. Ryan Gosling is long rumored to join the cast in a wide range of roles, including Sentry and Nova. However, if the rumor is true, Ryan will be a sensible choice to play Mister Fantastic in the movie. The actor is unlikely to fit in with any other member of the Fantastic Four and lacks the European origins required to play a role like Doctor Doom.

Now, if a recent rumor is true, Gosling may have a good chance of landing one of those highly regarded roles.

Who Might Ryan Play In The Movie?

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe enters Phase 5, a Silver Surfer Disney+ special is reportedly in the works. The project would follow the same style as Marvel’s other Disney+ special presentations, such as Werewolf by Night. And would show the Silver Surfer working for Galactus in the furthest reaches of the universe. According to reports, the Silver Surfer will not be present for the special presentation. It appears, however, that it will be released before the Fantastic Four feature, implying that the two projects are linked.

Gosling has both the status and the acting abilities to play Reed Richards, one of the most pivotal characters in the Multiverse Saga and beyond. While reports have it that Kylo Ren actor Adam Driver is at the top of Marvel’s wishlist , to play Mr. Fantastic, Gosling would be far from a letdown if Driver is unable to work out.

The actor has a good track record as a leading man in major films of the twenty-first century and has the acting talents to work well with any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s current leads. Furthermore, the 42-year-old is of the ideal age to play the father figure in Marvel’s first family in what will most likely be a trilogy of films with a few crossover appearances.

Whether or not he joins the Fantastic Four cast, Gosling has already expressed a desire to appear in a Marvel Studios film. While working on their 2022 film The Gray Man, Gosling reportedly begged Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo to help him land a role in the MCU. “I’m hoping they can make this MCU thing happen.” “That would be cool, in my opinion,” he stated.
