Fans have appreciated Hailee Steinfeld‘s portrayal of Kate Bishop in Marvel’s Disney+ series Hawkeye. According to a new rumor, she will allegedly join the MCU on the big screen in the third instalment of Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Following Hawkeye, many have predicted that Kate Bishop will play a significant role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it appears that the sequel to Ant-Man and the Wasp may be the next step in her MCU career.

Reports have been claiming that Hailee Steinfeld was “recently sighted on the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania before filming wrapped up” ever since the reshoots started. Kate Bishop’s involvement in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania would make sense considering the character’s friendship with Cassie Lang, Scott Lang’s daughter. Of course, this is just a rumor, so it’s unknown whether Kate Bishop’s involvement will be just a cameo or even an appearance in a post-credits scene.

Many believe Cassie Lang, who will be portrayed by Kathryn Newton in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumia, will adopt her father’s legacy and become a superhero of her own. As a result, this alleged appearance by Kate Bishop may indicate that the Ant-Man threequel would establish The Young Avengers, a brand-new superhero squad that both Cassie Lang and Kate Bishop have been members of in Marvel Comics. The Young Avengers, which were created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung, are typically comprised of superheroes with ties to the original Avengers, and their arrival in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania may give rise to a whole new MCU franchise.

Cassie Lang might be recruited by someone like Val or whoever is in charge of the Young Avengers squad (perhaps Clint and Lyla combined). They could co-lead a group that includes America Chavez, Riri Williams, Kamala Khan, Eli Bradley, Kid Loki, Skaar, Nathaniel Richards, and Billy and Tommy.

On February 17, 2023, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released, while a Young Avengers project is anticipated for 2025 or maybe 2026.
