With Thor: Love and Thunder smashing the cinemas, it’s time to focus on the following project from Marvel Studios’ timeline. Disney+’s next extensive MCU TV program is She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
In addition, a week before She-Hulk’s Live-action premiere, the short animation series I Am Groot will be available on the streaming service. So, Disney+ users can rest sure that they won’t go hungry during August. Regardless, check out the list below to know what’s in store for the upcoming months of Phase 4.
August
As mentioned above, Disney+ fans will be elated to know this month will be occupied streaming the two series. The Marvel Comics character Groot will soon star in his own forthcoming American animated short series called I Am Groot, which Disney developed for its Disney+ streaming service. In each episode, Baby Groot meets and gets into trouble with a new and exciting individual on his galactic travels. The series will release on August 10, 2022.
Adapted by the Marvel Comics character She-Hulk, Jessica Gao’s new series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will premiere on Disney+ in the same month. Jennifer Walters is a lawyer who specializes in matters involving superhumans; she also transforms into the green hero She-Hulk. The Disney+ series will release on August 17, 2022.
October
If you’ve been following the Marvel news thus far, you may remember a mention of an adaptation of the Werewolf By Night. The series will be a Halloween Special. The fact that it will be a one-off event rather than a series or miniseries is one of the few pieces of information we have so far.
Since Marvel often opts for larger-scale endeavors, this is an intriguing departure on their part. It may be a fantastic method to introduce a plethora of new characters without requiring a colossal financial commitment from the company.
November
There will soon be an American superhero movie called Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and it will be based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The sequel will release on November 11, 2022.
The first season of What If…? premiered on Disney+ on August 11, 2021, and its nine episodes will drop every week until October. It’s the MCU’s fourth major story arc. It has been announced that the second season, consisting of nine episodes, will premiere in November or December 2022.
December
James Gunn has developed, written, and will helm a holiday-themed television special centered on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy. As part of the MCU’s fourth and final phase, Disney+ will air a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in December 2022.
February 2023
A forthcoming American superhero film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, will feature Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope Pym/Wasp from Marvel Comics. The movie will release on February 17, 2023, in the United States.
May 2023
The third installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy film series is currently in production at Marvel Studios and will be released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to premiere on May 5, 2023.
July 2023
In July 2019, Marvel Studios announced that they would be making a sequel to Captain Marvel, and production on the film started in January 2020 with the addition of Megan McDonnell and Brie Larson returning in their respective roles. The Marvels, which will debut as a Phase 4 MCU film on July 28, 2023, will be shown in the United States on that day.
Rest of 2023
An X-Men animated series debuted on Disney+, which opened its opened to the world on November 12, 2019. The release of X-Men ’97, a franchise reboot, is scheduled for 2023 on the streaming service with no official update yet.
In addition, Marion Dayre has developed a series titled Echo for Disney+. After the events of Hawkeye in New York City, Maya Lopez goes home and struggles to reconcile her past, rediscover her Native American heritage, and accept the love of her family and community. We anticipate Disney+ to release Echo in some time 2023.
