Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur has officially become a part of the vast Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Multiverse. In a recent episode of the show, Dr. Bill Foster, who was previously portrayed by Laurence Fishburne in 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, made a guest appearance. Fishburne also voiced Foster in the animated series.

Dr. Foster helps Lunella Lafayette in returning Devil Dinosaur to his proper size after he was shrunk down. While Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is not officially a part of the MCU, the appearance of a variant of Fishburne’s character in the show suggests that it is part of the MCU Multiverse.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is a recent animated series aimed at elementary school-aged children but has also appealed to adults. The show follows Lunella and her red Tyrannosaurus Rex partner, Devil Dinosaur. Despite being an animated series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur has a special connection with the MCU Multiverse.

Consistent Multiverse Rules In The MCU

MCU Multiverse

Marvel has been consistent in maintaining the rules of the Multiverse across all of its live-action and animated properties. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was previously stated to be “complementary” to the MCU. As such, Cobie Smulders voices Maria Hill during the show’s first season.

Fishburne’s Return To The MCU

Laurence Fishburne

Fishburne expressed interest in returning to the MCU proper. He has a role in the upcoming second season of What If…?, and it is also speculated that he may appear in Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts due to his close ties to Ava Starr, aka Ghost.

In addition to his role as Dr. Foster, Fishburne voices the cosmic trickster known as the Beyonder in several other episodes of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. While Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur may have a younger target audience, it has found success in expanding the MCU Multiverse.
