Marvel Studios is opening the year 2022 for the MCU’s most spectacular outings as it introduces Oscar Isaac’s Marc Spector in the Disney+ show Moon Knight. The series will premiere on streaming networks on March 30. As Marvel begins the promotional activities for the series, it dropped the latest full trailer for Moon Knight. The trailer gives audiences a glimpse of Marvel Studios’ creepiest project to date as it prepares to delve into Isaac’s character’s multiple personality disorder. Thus stretching out the MCU expanse into the mystical world of ancient Egyptian Gods.
Starring alongside Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight and Ethan Hawke’s mysterious villain in the upcoming Disney+ show French actor Gaspard Ulliel. The actor will make his first MCU appearance as he plays the role of Anton Mogart, popularly known as Midnight Man. According to Marvel Comics, Mogart is a principal thief and martial artist. As well as a star villain in the dark chronicles of Moon Knight.
But we come bearing devastating news. A recent report revealed that the actor who is set to introduce Midnight Man into the MCU lost his life in a tragic accident.
French Actor Gaspard Ulliel Dies At Age 37
As per the report released by Deadline, Moon Knight star Gaspard Ulliel passed away at age 37 on January 19, 2022. The actor was hospitalized the previous day after suffering serious injuries while skiing in the Alps. Shortly after that, he took his last breath.
The award-winning French actor met with a collision on the ski slopes in the Savoie region. Following which he was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Grenoble.
Ulliel will appear as Anton Mogart, also known as Midnight Man, in Marvel’s upcoming Moon Knight Disney+ series.

Gaspard Ulliel’s Role In Marvel’s Moon Knight
For the greater part of his acting career, Gaspard Ulliel performed remarkably well in the French film industry. As for his known Hollywood appearances, Ulliel’s role as the main character in 2007’s Hannibal Rising is highly admired.
Marvel’s Moon Knight was supposed to come as a breakthrough for the actor’s career. Also, an alliance with the industry’s biggest production company would allow him to make a mark on the American market. After his debut into the MCU as Moon Knight, Ulliel will make his final on-screen appearance in the French flick More Than Ever.
It is saddening to think that Ulliel will never get to see the final product of all his hard work spent on Moon Knight. All we can hope for is that Midnight Man will have a prominent antagonistic presence in the highly anticipated Disney+ series. And that Ulliel’s character will leave a fond memory in the hearts of many.
Marvel has made no official announcements on whether it intended to incorporate Midnight Man into any future movies or TV series. But considering the aftermath of Chadwick Boseman’s sudden demise on both Marvel Studios and Disney. The networks will not prefer recasting another actor for the role. Thus ending the character’s MCU journey at this point.
