With the original game delivering an exceptional superhero gaming experience, fans are eagerly awaiting the showdown in the upcoming sequel.

Venom

Fans deduced that the black goo attached to Harry at the end of the original game was the Symbiote, indicating the eventual emergence of Venom. However, the origins of the agitating Symbiote in the sequel remain unknown. Speculations range from Oscorp’s involvement in its creation to Connors contributing to its development. The aggressive behavior exhibited by Peter while wearing the Black Suit has led to theories that Miles may face Peter as a boss. The dynamic between the two will add further intrigue to the game.

Kraven The Hunter

The opening cutscene of the latest gameplay trailer introduces Kraven the Hunter, who was initially only heard as a voice in the first trailer. Kraven, dissatisfied with his recent prey, sets his sights on the villain-infested streets of New York City. The trailer reveals a faction of hunters accompanying Kraven, posing a formidable threat to both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

The Raft Prisoners

Kraven’s touchpad reveals that several villains from the previous game are confined in The Raft, a high-security prison. Vulture, Rhino, Electro, Otto Octavius, and Kingpin are among those still held captive. The presence of these villains suggests that the sequel may not involve another large-scale jailbreak, as their involvement might be limited.

Shocker

Herman, better known as Shocker, finds himself free in “Spider-Man 2,” while other members of the Sinister Six remain incarcerated. The circumstances of Shocker’s escape from a high-security facility like The Raft remain a mystery, and his role in the story may be that of a minor criminal.

Taskmaster

Taskmaster, a mercenary who provided optional challenges in the first game, hinted at an organization that wanted to assess Spider-Man’s worth. Whether this mysterious organization will make an appearance in the sequel remains to be seen. The inclusion of multiple criminal factions would add depth to the game’s narrative beyond Kraven’s Hunters.

Black Cat

Felicia Hardy, also known as Black Cat, made her last appearance in “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales,” seemingly having turned over a new leaf. However, the presence of Kraven the Hunter may entice her to rejoin the fray. Alternatively, she could indulge in low-key cat burglaries or play pranks on Spider-Man for old times’ sake.

Prowler

Aaron Davis, also known as The Prowler, collaborated with the police to expose Simon Krieger’s crimes in “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.” However, Aaron’s reappearance in his Prowler costume suggests an unexpected turn of events. Miles will likely embark on side-quests involving his uncle, questioning the circumstances of his release or arrangement.

Wraith

Yuri Watanabe, Spider-Man’s police contact and friend, underwent suspension from the force after attempting to kill Hammerhead in the DLC “The City That Never Sleeps.” Disillusioned with the law, she takes justice into her own hands and assumes a new persona, Wraith, in Spider-Man 2. While more of an anti-hero vigilante than a villain, Wraith is likely to present a formidable challenge for Peter, with hopes for a resolution that brings Watanabe back to the right path.

The Lizard

Dr. Curtis “Curt” Connors, previously seen as The Lizard in the first game, has unfortunately suffered a relapse in the sequel. The gameplay footage showcases the Spider-Men’s pursuit of the transformed Connors before the hunters led by Kraven can get to him. The Lizard’s increased size and Peter and Miles’ surprise suggest that his condition has worsened, adding urgency to the mission as Connors holds the key to helping Harry Osborn overcome Oshtoran Syndrome.
