Wong is now the Sorcerer Supreme and a great leader of the mystic arts. Moreover, Wong is a great teacher and has been tutoring several sorcerers at Kamar-Taj. But there are still many characters in the MCU that fans want to see in Kamar-Taj, honing their talents under the tutelage of Wong.
After the events of Multiverse of Madness, America has already started training at Kamar-Taj under the watchful eye of Wong. Wong even compares her to Doctor Strange as she too has a hot-headed impatient approach to her training as he did. It’ll also be great to see her harness her powers of opening multiversal portals and see what else she can do with it. After harnessing her powers, maybe she could go on an adventure to find her mothers.
After opening portals using a sling ring during Spider-Man No Way Home, Ned Leeds has already taken the first step to becoming a sorcerer. It would be pretty cool to now see him train under Wong at Kamar-Taj and become a superhero in his own right. Especially with Spider-Man having to forge his own path, Ned’s character can truly blossom into something more than a sidekick.
Even if its purely for comic relief, it would be hilarious to see Madisynn King join Wong at Kamar-Taj. After their amazing entry in She-Hulk, fans have responded very well to the duo and want to see more of them. It would be fun to see Madisynn’s over the top, LA girl reactions to the teachings at Kamar-Taj.
Kit Harington’s Black Knight has only been teased briefly during the post-credits scene of Eternals. While his character isn’t primarily a magic user, the Black Knight is familiar with a lot of magic and often requires such information. Additionally, the Kamar-Taj library is quite literally a fountain of knowledge and would be very useful for him.
Although Billy Maximoff doesn’t exactly exist in the universe of Earth-616, fans still want to see him train at Kamar-Taj. Billy started manifesting his powers during WandaVision which included telekinesis, telepathy and a blue hued psionic energy similar to his mother. Learning at Kamar-Taj under Wong would help Billy become an extremely powerful magic wielder just as prophesied by Chthon. In fact, the Darkhold Castle had a statue of Billy as well next to his mother.
She is another character who got her powers during the events of WandaVision. Her powers were a result of constantly forcing her body through the barriers of the Hex. This somehow altered her genes and turned her into a superhero who could control energy and manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum. That’s also where she gets her name from – Spectrum. As much as we want to see the typical training montage of Monica with Wong, it is unlikely. With her return to the MCU confirmed with the Marvels project, she will be learning and harnessing her powers there and will be aided by Captain Marvel.
As seen in Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings, Shang-Chi and Katy have already been recruited by Wong. Shang-Chi especially needs Wong’s help considering how little he and us, the audience, know about the Ten Rings. Shang-Chi could really master the Ten Rings by combining the teachings of both Ta-Lo and Wong. Maybe one of the books at the Kamar-Taj library has a mention of the Ten Rings. Its an exciting prospect to explore.
Okay yes Sersi is an Eternal and definitely does not need help from Earthly beings. But she also does not have much control over her powers and definitely needs to know more about them. And where better to start than Kamar-Taj. After all, the knowledge imparted here spans and covers the entire multiverse.
The Loki variants were a really fun addition to the MCU. Kid Loki especially seemed to be quite the successful King. His arrival on Earth and learning curve at Kamar-Taj under Wong would be a great story to tell.
Similar to Monica Rambeau, though it is unlikely that she’ll learn under the tutelage of Wong, seeing her interact with the other characters on this list would be great.
