It has often happened in the MCU that heroes have ended up causing much more damage than villains. Some superheroes are definitely more likely to cause destruction and collateral damage, so, here are 8 of them.

1. Hulk

In the MCU, Bruce Banner has now managed to put the brains and the brawns together to form Smart Hulk. But it wasn’t always like that. In the early days, Banner had absolutely no control over Hulk and was completely unconscious when Hulk was in control. He caused a lot of destruction during Avengers and Avengers Age of Ultron when Wanda manipulated his mind. This makes him very unpredictable and things can switch up and go south very quickly. He also has the sheer strength and durability to cause large-scale destruction.

 2. Scarlet Witch

Wanda’s powers stemming from the mind stone are very unstable. She also has the added power of chaos magic. Moreover, with her psychotic episodes she is extremely prone to causing destruction around her. Her powers are governed by her emotions and her grief. This lack of control makes her very dangerous as seen previously in WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness. She has literally torn through universes to get what she wants. She is also arguably the most powerful superhero in the MCU.

3. Jean Grey

Jean Gray harnesses the power of the phoenix and has immense destructive capability. Her lack of control over her powers in the initial stages made her extremely volatile. This has resulted in a lot of death around her including that of Professor X. She has also killed her lover, Cyclops. In the Marvel comic there have been timelines where she has destroyed planets and once even the entire universe by embracing the Dark Phoenix.

4. Doctor Strange

Stephen Strange is not the most responsible hero and definitely makes some rash decisions without thinking of the consequences. He pretty much broke the Multiverse by trying to cast the identity spell for Peter Parker. In a different universe of the MCU, specifically Earth 383, his actions destroyed an entire reality. In another universe, he plunged his world into chaos and corrupted the planet by using the Darkhold. Clearly, Dr. Strange possesses the ability to cause massive destruction and sometimes is irresponsible enough to let things get out of hand.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy

These guys are a rag tag team of superheroes that don’t always act very heroic. They are rash, hot-headed and all over the place. This makes them very likely to leave behind a lot of collateral damage. In the MCU Rocket once stole some anulax batteries and ended up getting chased by an entire Sovereign fleet and crashing Quill’s ship on a planet. Drax once provoked Ronan and his army to come fight him which eventually led them to lose the power stone. They have a lot of fire power but also make some really dumb decisions.

6. Black Bolt

Black Bolt has a lot of control over his abilities and has lived as a mute for most of his life due to his explosive powers. However, this man can cause damage like no other. He can destroy armies with a whisper and cities with his screams. In the Marvel comics he has taken on Galactus and Thanos. His quasi sonic energy that’s basically his voice is a weapon like no other. Despite the control, the sheer ability to destroy earns him a place on the list.

7. Magneto

This man isn’t exactly a hero or a villain. He is mostly an anti-hero as his love for mutants is true and pure. His intentions are questionable but his tragic backstory and past experiences definitely explain his extreme stance. He is obviously capable of wanton destruction as he can control metals and is an omega level mutant. His emotions have often been exploited by other villains such as Apocalypse in the MCU who used his powers to wreak havoc on the world.

8. Iron Man

While Tony Stark himself is not exactly likely to cause too much destruction, he’s on the list for a different reason. The weapons manufactured by Stark industries, his technology surrounding the arc reactor and his Iron Man suit are all extremely dangerous when fallen into the wrong hands. His tech is also advanced enough to cause massive destruction and can be misused.
