Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness dropped its second trailer, and hyped fans up even more for the movie. Directed by Sam Raimi, the movie is going to have interesting moments and cameos from various characters.

In this sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange movie, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange will team up with new and old allies like Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez, and Benedict Wong’s Wong.

We know that the movie will deal with alternate realities. But of course, we don’t know what the exact plot is going to be. However, the second trailer has elaborated on the roles of other characters in the film like the Scarlet Witch.

The movie trailer seems to hint at the fact that Wanda will become a villain. There are multiple dialogs and scary shots that hint at this transformation of her.

Here we will take a look at the moment that appears to show Wanda’s villainous turn.

In the new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, there’s a frightening shot of the Scarlet Witch.

At the 2:00 mark of the new trailer, Wanda can be seen in a white shirt covered in blood. It looks as though she is attacking or defending herself from an unknown character with her powers.

A closer look at Wanda’s eyes shows that she isn’t joking. So everyone in the Doctor Strange sequel is in trouble.

Wanda’s appearance is just one sign of just how scary and wild Doctor Strange 2 is going to be. The second trailer has confirmed that there will be 2 versions of Wanda in the movie.

In the trailer, we can see the two of them interacting in a house similar to the one we saw in WandaVision. It’s possible that blood is being used to distinguish this Wanda from the Scarlet Witch we know and love.

But we don’t know why there are two Wandas. Looking at the background of the shot with the bloody Wanda, it looks as though she’s inside the base where Doctor Strange is being guarded by the Ultron bots.

So Wanda might be rescuing Doctor Strange from the Illuminati. But the fight might get out of hand, thus explaining her bloodied appearance. If Wanda ends up killing the superheroes inside the base, it would cement her villain status.

Maybe, then, Strange and America Chavez would be forced to stop her. On the other hand, maybe Chavez and Strange were warning the heroes at the base about Wanda.

But maybe Wanda’s rage leads to her killing them all. We don’t know how Wanda goes to other earths, but there’s a hint in the post-credits scene from WandaVision.

There, Wanda can be seen hearing the voices of her twin sons, Tommy and Billy Maximoff. Thus, this means that she found a way to traverse the Multiverse.

Maybe Multiverse of Madness will be about Wanda’s journey to madness due to her desperate desire to see her sons. We will get to know the full story when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premieres in theaters on May 6, 2022.
