Moff Gideon’s Fate Takes A New Turn In The Third Season Of The Mandalorian.
The Mandalorian has been one of the most popular and talked-about TV shows on Disney+. The recent episode of the third season featured a significant twist in the ongoing story of Moff Gideon, a former Imperial moff who commanded a squadron to capture the Force-sensitive foundling Grogu.

At the end of The Mandalorian Season 2, Moff Gideon was apprehended and remanded to the New Republic to stand trial for his innumerable crimes. Since then, he has only been mentioned in The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian Season 3. But, in the recent episode, it seems he might be about to make his presence known again.

In “Chapter 21” of The Mandalorian, New Republic Starfighter Corps Member Carson Teva comes across a derelict Lambda-class shuttle. He quickly realizes that the shuttle was the one carrying Moff Gideon and was attacked by Mandalorians who likely saved him from New Republic custody.

There are rumors that this season of The Mandalorian will feature the character wearing Mando armor of his own. It is possible that Gideon was inducted into a Mandalorian covert, even though he committed multitudes of wrongdoings in his career with the Empire. During the Galactic Civil War, Gar Saxon and his followers joined up with the Empire and attacked those who opposed the Emperor’s will.
Elia Kane
Elia Kane served directly under Gideon on the Moff’s battleship and has been slyly pulling the strings for her nefarious purposes in her two Season 3 appearances. It is assumed by viewers that Kane is operating on the behalf of Gideon since she still seems to be loyal to him. Her role in the story has yet to be fully revealed, but it seems likely that she’s still in cahoots with her old boss.
Giancarlo Esposito
Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, is confirmed to appear this season. With only three episodes remaining, he’ll be showing his face sooner rather than later. Fans can expect to see how Gideon’s story unfolds in the upcoming episodes of The Mandalorian.
