Phase 4 of the MCU has begun clearly with rapid winners charting up. With 2020, 2021 closing the deal on the first 2 years in the MCU, Marvel Studios looks to break the chain of genres. 2022 will hence be known as the year Marvel takes a big risk. With horror fantasy being driven at the Studio, it looks like sitting at the edge will be this year’s theme. Moon Knight begins Marvel’s 2022. With a motive drawn to show a horror theme, as shown by their latest clip, it looks, like we’re being prepared for some gore action. The world was prepared to experience it with Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. But, now, we have Moon Knight, and one question everyone’s asking is: Werewolves?

They are coming to the Marvel movie universe in Phase 4. Moon Knight could be the place they are first shown. Through Phase 4, Marvel Studios is expanding the MCU in this phase by going outside the traditional boundaries of the Avengers. In the MCU, there are a lot of chances to make it bigger. Stories that happen on Earth and in space, as well as in other universes, are being told now. If they follow this plan, Moon Knight is a great example. It introduces a new hero to the world and explores a new area of the MCU that is filled with Egyptian mythology and supernatural elements.

Moon Knight Will Stem Origin Of New Heroes

Blade Moon Knight

Even though Moon Knight is supposed to be Oscar Isaac’s superhero origin story, the show should also help set up the future of the MCU. This is because Moon Knight is supposed to be Oscar Isaac’s superhero origin story. There is a lot of hope that this is true for Marvel’s supernatural side. Moon Knight could be set up to join the Midnight Sons, which would make him a good fit. It’s also possible that supernatural characters could show up in Moon Knight if this is true. Rumors have been swirling about Mahershala Ali’s Blade or the Black Knight from the Eternals making an appearance. As well as characters we already know about, like Ethan Hawke’s Arthur Harrow or the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, we’ll also get to meet new ones during the show.

The idea that Moon Knight brings werewolves into the MCU has been around for a long time. Many people think Marvel already gave us a glimpse of Moon Knight and these supernatural creatures fighting each other in the movie. Some early footage from the show showed Moon Knight punching a creature with wolf-like features, which caused people to wonder. There are some fans who think Moon Knight is fighting the Egyptian god Anubis in the scene in question. This is not confirmed or denied. Anubis is the Egyptian god of death, and he has a head that looks like a dog. Even if this animal is Anubis, the Moon Knight werewolf theories could still be true even if this creature is an animal.

The Darkhold Can Bring Werewolves

How Doctor Strange 2's Trailer Teases Return of WandaVision's Darkhold

Darkhold

Fans have long thought that Moon Knight and werewolves will meet up during Phase 4. Why does this happen? Moon Knight made his first appearance in Werewolf by Night #32, which is a comic book. Marvel Studios could change the comics connection so that werewolves start out in Moon Knight instead of in the MCU. Moon Knight is making his debut in the MCU. Werewolf transformations have a lot to do with the moon, so the Egyptian god Khonshu could even play a part in making them, because of that. If Marvel Studios is making a Halloween special for Disney+ that includes Werewolf by Night and other supernatural characters, this would also make sense.

Moon Knight would not be the only place where werewolves would show up. Marvel is getting more supernatural before Blade comes out. WandaVision set the groundwork for werewolves by including Darkhold in their show. The dark magic book was used in WandaVision to explain chaos magic to the Scarlet Witch. In the comics, Darkhold was partly to blame for the creation of werewolves. Because the book is linked to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there’s a good chance it won’t show up in Moon Knight. This doesn’t mean that werewolves won’t still show up and mention the Darkhold before the Halloween special properly explains how they came to be, but they might. Moon Knight could very well bring werewolves into the MCU, so that could happen.

Kevin Smith Predicted The Werewolf Chapter In The MCU

Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith

Showrunner Kevin Smith said that during the making of his canceled Howard the Duck show at Hulu, he found out that the horror character Werewolf By Night was off-limits.

It was “hot for a second” when Smith worked on Howard the Duck. Hey, man, Jeph Loeb thought you’d be good for Howard the Duck. Comic Book Men’s Walter Flanagan responded to me and said, “I’m going to try to make a movie about all of the people from the ’70s.” Was giving ideas, and Werewolf By Night was on the list.

Smith planned to show Werewolf By Night in the fifth episode of his show. Howard was stuck in this place, and he was trying to get pages of the Darkhold, which would let him go back to his home. Kevin told Jeph about his plans and they said that he couldn’t use Werewolf by Night. He didn’t understand why, so he asked them. They said he was being used by the movie department.

It’s not going to happen outside of the MCU, Smith says. Werewolf By Night, a character who isn’t very well known to modern audiences; is a good example of Marvel’s foray into horror in the 1970s. But Iron Man, who has already made a lot of money with his movies and was killed in Avengers: Endgame; was still strong enough to be used in Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. Even if you know a character, there isn’t a reason why they are used in this way.

Now, with these elements, it proves that Werewolf by Night may enter the MCU soon and we might get a glimpse of him on March 30th.
