Ms. Marvel is getting closer to its Disney+ launch in June after many delays, which means promotion has been building up in recent weeks. The next MCU series will introduce a whole new character, Kamala Khan, who will be played by Iman Vellani, and will follow her transformation into the titular superhero.

Ms. Marvel is expected to introduce the first Pakistani-American hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, pushing for more diversity in the series. This decision is also reflected in the show’s growing cast, which now includes more Pakistani and Indian actors. Ms. Marvel has reportedly added Indian-American actress Anjali Bhimani (Runaways) to the cast in a recurring role, while Pakistani film and TV actress Mehwish Hayat has also been confirmed to be part of the ensemble. A Bollywood actress is now said to have joined Ms. Marvel.

Farhan Akhtar has joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel, according to Deadline. His role is currently unknown, but the actor will appear as a guest star, according to the publication. Dil Chahta Hai, Rock On!!, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and The Sky is Pink are among Akhtar’s Bollywood credits. The actor also has a multi-year deal with Netflix through his and Ritesh Sidhawin’s Mumbai-based Excel Entertainment. Mehwish Hayat, Anjali Bhimani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, and lead actor Iman Vellani are among the stellar cast members.

Ms. Marvel’s involvement in Farhan Akhtar is important, owing to the actor’s illustrious Bollywood career. However, given his star power in Bollywood, it’s possible that Akhtar may play a significant role in the Disney+ series.

The chance of seeing Akhtar play one of the show’s enemies, speculated to be the ClanDestine, could be canceled due to the fact that these foes are likely to play a large role in the series, given the actor’s guest role capacity. Despite this, it’s feasible that Akhtar will play one of Kamala’s neighbors or a prominent member of the neighborhood in the series. Akhtar might possibly portray one of Kamala’s high school instructors or even a long-lost relative. Whatever the case may be, everything will be revealed on June 8 when Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+.
