Now that Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has concluded with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Phase Five begins on February 17, 2023, with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which takes place in the quantum realm.
Kang will make his most prominent presence in the MCU to date in Ant-Man 3, ultimately revealing to fans the ideal “warrior” variant who will become the Avengers’ next major enemy. While the teasers for the film teased plenty of fascinating stuff from the Multiversal Maestro of Havoc, one fascinating scene has avoided the wider populace for several months.

You’re an Avenger… Have I killed you before?

Kang, the Conqueror in Ant Man 3

Kang is heard saying, “Your Avenger. Have I killed you?” in a new 30-second TV commercial for “Ant-Man and the Wasp.”Despite being featured in the trailers only shown to limited crowds at San Diego Comic-Con and Disney’s D23 Expo, this line hasn’t yet been used in public promotion.
Kang asked Scott Lang, “Have I killed you before?” in the Ant-Man 3 teasers, which were only shown at San Diego Comic-Con and the D23 Fan Expo. This was a subtle reference to his prior connection to the Avengers.

While this moment has escaped the wider populace since Summer 2022, leading many to wonder whether and when it would be shown to the rest of the world, it has now arrived.

The Promotional TV Spot can be seen below-

Kang’s History With The Avengers

Because of Kang’s ability to exist in an infinite number of realities across space and time, this film will undoubtedly allude to some of his earlier confrontations with several other Avengers variants. This will provide him more opportunities to demonstrate his might against the main cast of MCU characters, making him an even greater threat to mankind and The Avengers.

When Captain America: Civil War debuted in Phase 3 in 2016, it became the biggest non-Avengers film of the time, finally tearing the team apart over the Captain America/Iron Man feud.
Peyton Reed has already hinted that even without most of the Avengers present, this will be an Avengers-level film, owing to Kang’s anticipated ascension to power, which will continue across the rest of the Multiverse Saga. Many have speculated that Kang may even go so far as to execute Scott Lang or another member of his crew, establishing the norm early in his stint as the MCU’s next major enemy by expressing an incredible degree of authority right away.

Stephen Broussard, the vice president of production and development at Marvel Studios, compared Ant-Man 3 to Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, saying that Quantumania will be “as important and integral to the MCU going forward” as those two Captain America sequels were.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be released in theatres on February 17.
