A few months ago, The Witcher returned to Netflix and gave fans a Season 2 finale. A lot was learnt about what Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer are going to have to deal with in the third season. The Witcher season 3 is still in pre-production. However, the show’s first new cast member has reportedly been cast. This actress may also have a major book connection to Henry Cavill’s Geralt.

The third season of The Witcher has yet to begin filming, but Netflix’s series appears to be progressing well. Actor Safiyya Ingar is the first newcomer confirmed for Season 3 of The Witcher, according to Redanian Intelligence. According to the outlet, several other major roles are likely to have been cast. This is so especially since filming is scheduled to begin in the near future. However, Redanian Intelligence has speculated that Ingar could play Milva, the archer who met Geralt in Baptism of Fire.

In Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, Milva always had a compelling story to tell. It would be intriguing to see how the Netflix series portrays the character’s story arc. Sadly, this speculation should be taken with a large grain of salt until it is officially confirmed by Ingar or Netflix.

However, little concrete information about The Witcher Season 3 has been released at this point in time. After a long and difficult production process, Season 2 of The Walking Dead was released at the end of 2021. The Witcher’s first season, released in the winter of 2019, was a huge hit for Netflix, and a second season was already announced before the show premiered.

Season 2 had a number of significant challenges to overcome. Henry Cavill, who plays Geralt in the film, suffered a “very, very bad” hamstring tear due to the coronavirus pandemic. Hope this season goes better than the last one!

A new season of The Witcher is slated to begin filming this month in Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia, as Redanian Intelligence previously reported. The Witcher: Blood Origin wrapped filming last year, so fans can look forward to the prequel series while they wait for the new season, which has yet to be scheduled for release.
