The MCU fandom just got a treat in the form of a new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer. Fans all over the world are surely going to look at the trailer, again and again, to find out more cameo hints as well as check out the glimpses at the Ultron Bots, Professor X, and a brand new Captain Marvel.

But apart from these, there’s more that has got the MCU fandom buzzing- there are already whispers of Tom Cruise coming in as Tony Stark and Hayley Atwell making an appearance as Captain Carter.

We first saw Atwell’s hero in the MCU in last year’s What If…? animated series. After we saw her take up the shield, there have been theories of when the character will jump into live-action. Now it looks like fans won’t have to wait for long.

Fans loved the alternate take on Captain America and enjoyed seeing Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter get the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers.

They also wanted to see more of her, and it looks like their wish has finally come true. It has also been teased that Multiverse of Madness will feature a ton of cameos.

And from the looks of the new trailer and the poster, that seems to be true. However, you shouldn’t expect each cameo to have a fleshed-out storyline. Some of these appearances will definitely be a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it thing.

Atwell’s Captain Carter may receive such a moment. However, audiences have loved Captain Carter, and as such, it’s possible that MCU will introduce her into the live-action franchise with a good role.

Also, just because Steve Rogers is done with the MCU doesn’t mean that Captain Carter has to be. The Multiverse of Madness can bring her into the MCU and she can have a great storyline with the new Captain America- Sam Wilson in the upcoming Captain America 4.

However, these are just theories. It remains to be seen what her actual appearance entails. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness enters theaters on May 6, 2022.
