New Location Leak For Black Panther 2 Indicates Some Mexican Action

March 1,2022

Black Panther is one of the biggest franchises in the world right now. The 2018 movie did wonders at the box-office by being the first all-black cast to make a billion dollars. Black Panther’s international record is what gave way for more black inspired content in the MCU. The cast was led by the late Chadwick Boseman, who gave his all for the role. The historical aspect and respect given tho the African tribes in the movie, is why we witness a fandom for Black Panther 2.

Now, Black Panther 2 is currently in production, with its release set at the end of the year. The cast and crew have all been committed to whatever problems they face during the process. The movie has caused enough production delays for Marvel Studios, including director Ryan Coogler. He was forced to change the script over and over again.

The first change came after Boseman’s death. This was a full-scale rewrite of the lead character. Well, due to his unfortunate demise, the world misses what more deadlier antagonists he would have played against.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had a lot of production delays, too, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A previous report said that the production stoppage did not affect the sequel’s theatrical release in November 2022. It’s also expected to show new stories with major Wakandan characters like Letitia Wright’s Shuri and Danai Gurira’s Okoye. The script is said to take on the cultural appropriation theme, and it may suit up for some of its anticipated villains that are yet to be announced.

Production For Black Panther 2 In Full Swing

Following a recent surge in Omicron, filming for Wakanda Forever is back on track and in full swing again. Some set photos from the sequel’s production have been leaked in the last few weeks. They give them a sense of what they can expect, such as returning characters and underwater scenes, that could hint at the appearance of a certain Atlantean or more.

When you think about it this way, another interesting behind-the-scenes snippet has come to light that suggests a new place for the sequel.

A report said that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will soon be filming scenes in Puerto Rico. One Take News said this in a report. In the report, it said that the location would be a double for Haiti.

This Wakanda Forever rumor gives us a lot of ideas about how the movie could go.

It looks like it could be Submariner or the White Tiger will make an appearance in the next movie. Puerto Rico is said to be a Haitian set-up, which could show that Marvel character Namor or White Tiger has another connection to the island country.

Why It Could Be The White Tiger

Well, for every Black Panther in The MCU, there is suppossed to be someone who also takes up the color in the name (Marvel Logic). By these means, the introduction of the White Tiger could also be a reason for the Puerto Rico filming schedule.

White Tiger is also a superhero. At least five people have used the name, and one of them is a close friend of T’Challa.

In its original form, the White Tiger was Hector Ayala, who had ancient Jade Tiger amulets that made him stronger and better at martial arts. This allowed him to take out the big kingpins south of America. Only if he had a chance at Shang-Chi, though.

Hector Ayala/White Tiger was historically the first superhero of Puerto Rican descent in the Marvel Universe. This was a big step for ethnic minorities in mainstream American comics, like T’Challa and Shang-Chi.

Hector’s niece, Angela del Toro, is an FBI agent, and Ava Ayala, who is Hector’s teenage sister, is in the teen comic book Avengers Academy.

Besides, other people have become White Cats, too. In the 1996 comic book series Heroes for Hire, a real white Bengal tiger from India was magically turned into a human woman. This allowed her to become another person who could use the “White Tiger” name.

In fact, there was yet another White Tiger in the history of Marvel Comics that didn’t use magic or amulets. He came up with Kasper Cole, a half-Black, half-Jewish police officer, in Christopher Priest’s run on the Black Panther comics.

Kasper Cole, an aspiring vigilante who wants to clean up his corrupt precinct, first imitates the Black Panther. But in the short-lived comic book series The Crew, he calls himself the new White Tiger because he wears a vibranium catsuit like Black Panther’s. Kasper later becomes friends with T’Challa, who wants to help him learn how to use a new identity properly.

Wakanda Forever is a good place to introduce the White Tiger because he has a lot of comic book connections to Black Panther. While tigers are not native to Mexico, they are still important in Mexican culture. It’s possible that the Jade Tiger amulets came from Mexico, but they ended up in the hands of characters who are from Puerto Rico.

Will The Villain Turn Hero In This Movie?

Namor The Sub-Mariner

During World War 2, Namor and his allies jumped in to save President Rooselvelt from Zombie Master. He invaded the White House with his minions and Namor stopped them. Though, we cannot say how much of an influence this will have on the cause. But, it could be in a series of flashbacks that make way for Namore to address a What If…? Situation as an Easter egg.

It could also be a way to set up Wakanda’s global efforts, which were shown at the end of the first Black Panther movie. African countries are becoming more involved in the world. It’s likely that Shuri, Okoye, and Nakia will be in a scene where they help with relief efforts for their country, which will show how active they have become around the world.

With Puerto Rico trying to develop, this could also be the cause.

It hasn’t been easy to make Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but we’re seeing progress. They had to finish up production early in March, but with this on the line it could be a credit scene. Some time ago, they started making reshoots that were supposed to be done by March.

Black Panther 2 is set to open in theaters on November 11, 2022.
