New Ms. Marvel Disney+ Plot Synopsis Teases Captain Marvel. The Ms Marvel trailer teased Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan debut in the MCU. Introducing a new hero to the Marvel Universe, this story promises to tell a small story with cosmic power.

Ms Marvel will be the seventh Marvel Studios television series to air on Disney+. It will air on June 8, about a month after the conclusion of Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight.

The MCU began in 2008 with the release of Iron Man, and Kamala Khan was first introduced in 2013. This new hero promises to bring a new perspective to the MCU: that of a longtime follower. As with Peter Parker, audiences will see Khan first as a fan, and then as the hero.

In 2014, Khan became the first Muslim character in Marvel Comics to have their own comic book. New superpowers will be introduced in the TV show that are different from those in the comics. Reed Richards will have a more cosmic power set than another hero fans are already familiar with. This is so as Marvel Studios saves the elongation for him.

Disney has hinted at Carol Danvers’ influence on the upcoming series, which was previously a question mark.

One of Kamala Khan’s defining characteristics is her admiration for Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel. According to Disney’s official plot synopsis, Kamala is “a Super Hero mega-fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel”. This hints at her role in the upcoming series, Ms Marvel.

There’s no word on whether Brie Larson will appear, but her character’s presence will be felt, and Vellani will star in The Marvels in 2023.

Here’s the complete synopsis:

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?

Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. The cast also includes Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.

Kevin Feige revealed that Kamala Khan would star in The Marvels (then called Captain Marvel 2). After that, it became evident that Marvel was using this Disney+ story arc to set the character up for a future on the big screen.

The Hex barrier of Wanda Maximoff is the source of Monica Rambeau’s powers during WandaVision. Parris has also been cast as Brie Larson’s co-star in The Marvels.

For most of Ms Marvel’s first act, the only well-known “Marvel” was Captain Marvel, who was known for his work as an Avenger and his role in snapping back those who had slipped away. As to whether Khan went away for five years or how she was affected, it is not clear at this time.

This is evident in the official trailer, which shows that Kamala is envious of Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel. For her future MCU appearances and how her powers could be used off-world, these unique skills teased in the trailer may play a role.
