Currently, NWH has taken the box office by storm since its release less than a month ago. Tom Holland’s web-slinging adventures as Spider-Man thus far have been exciting. Nonetheless, his movie wasn’t necessarily the one that people were considering coming out of theaters. Benedict Cumberbatch’s upcoming project, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, was teased in the final NWH post-credits sequence of the film.
Everyone’s favorite doctor in the MCU, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, and Benedict Wong’s Sorcerer Supreme, are returning to the big screen in the sequel to the 2016 film. If the teaser indicates, the crew is going to be facing some serious challenges.
There is Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez, who appeared in a previous draft of NWH, and she has been added to the current cast. With her ability to travel between universes, Doctor Strange’s story is likely to revolve around her multiversal powers. The first trailer was well received by the public, as Benedict Cumberbatch has learned first-hand after seeing the response from fans.
Doctor Strange’s Reactions to Acclaim
Following the hype around the NWH post-credits scene, Benedict Cumberbatch discussed the reception to the first teaser for his upcoming sequel in an interview with Deadline.
“it’s been a bit of a moment, to be honest:” said the actor.
“I’m thrilled at the reaction to the teaser trailer at the end of Spider-Man; I’m thrilled at the reaction that film’s been having,” he told Deadline. “I mean, it’s been a bit of a moment, to be honest.”
According to Deadline, additional photography, which included extensive reshoots reported to have begun in November, was completed on Saturday, January 8.
Benedict Cumberbatch Is Coming Back
This year’s Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Madness is expected to live up to the hype. This forthcoming MCU movie is slated to be the first to deeply explore the concept of the Multiverse.
Heroic characters will almost certainly run into some bizarre cameos while doing so. Many Fox Marvel characters have been mentioned recently. Furthermore, Ben Affleck was recently inquired about appearing as Daredevil.
Of course, it’s not all cameos in the movie, of course. Nonetheless, there are some worth pointing out. A darker Doctor Strange—one that several fans believe to be the same one who appeared in What If…? maybe the real threat to the Multiverse.
Besides, Wanda Maximoff devotees are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in her life’s journey. According to some fans, the film could end with her introducing the Mutants to a new audience. Fans around the world will have to wait until May 5 of this year before they can finally get their questions answered.
