One of the most anticipated Star Wars series coming to Disney+ is the Obi-Wan Kenobi series with Ewan McGregor returning in the iconic role. Kenobi was a pivotal presence for Luke Skywalker since he introduced the hero to the Jedi ways. The show will also feature Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. Now we have got additional casting news for the show as well.
It was recently announced that Indira Varma (For Life and Game of Thrones) actress will be joining the cast of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+. Her role and other character details as such are still under wraps. Indira Varma is represented by Gersh and Principal Talent, and Dalzell and Beresford.
Varma appeared in Game of Thrones as Ellaria Sand and is was recently part of ABC’s For Life. She has also appeared in Carnival Row and Rome. Not many know that she starred in Exodus: Gods and Kings by Ridley Scott too. So her portfolio is certainly stacked.
As for the plot of the series itself, that is also under wraps, but it is being theorized for now that the show will probably be set between the prequels- A New Hope and Revenge Of The Sith.
Ewan McGregor confirmed in February that the show will be helmed by the talented Deborah Chow. She has directed two of the best episodes of The Mandalorian. It if also being said that the show will use the very same StageCraft tech that’s used for filming The Mandalorian on Disney+. In this tech, the SFX backgrounds of the show are projected clearly on the ultra-resolution screen present behind the performers.
The show will begin filming soon and it’s expected that it will blow people’s minds with the content.
