Fans cannot wait for the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series since it is all set to explore Ewan McGregor’s famous Jedi Master in more detail. The series will showcase a little known part of Obi-Wan’s life- the decade after the events of Revenge of the Sith when he was hiding in Tatooine. One of the best things about the series is its cast. After all, by now everyone knows that McGregor will be joined by his prequel trilogy castmate Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.

As such, expectations are sky high and people are already expecting a rematch between the friends-turned-enemies. However, the rest of the cast looked absolutely stacked as well with McGregor and Christensen being joined by Kumail Nanjiani, Joel Edgerton, Moses Ingram, and more. As for what characters these actors will play? That is being kept strictly under wraps. However, Ingram has said that the character she is portraying will be wielding a lightsaber along with Christensen and McGregor.

Obi Wan and Inquisitors

As such, for a long, there were a lot of fan theories about what character she could possibly be portraying. Now there’s a brand new rumour that could finally tell us about her mystery role.

Could Moses Ingram Be Playing An Inquisitor?

Moses Ingram Be Playing An Inquisitor

Recently, Steele Wars teamed up with Kessel Run Transmissions Corey Van Dyke to discuss Moses Ingram’s mysterious role in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Van Dyke said that one source was telling him that Ingram will be portraying an Inquisitor in the show. However, immediately after saying this, Van Dyke said that he hasn’t yet confirmed this with his other sources. So he can’t say for sure if this news is correct.

He said:

This isn’t something I’m running as a scoop because it’s only from one person so until I hear from other people, I don’t know. I was told that she is definitely an Inquisitor so we’ll see. I don’t know. I’m still running it with other sources. We’ll see.”

Will Ingram Actually Be Playing An Inquisitor?

Now, we would advise you to take this rumour with a grain of salt. However, we must say that this does make a lot of narrative sense. After all, in the Star Wars canon, the Inquisitors are previous Jedi who gave in to the Empire after the Purge. As such, they submitted to the darkness. This team was led by Darth Vader and they tracked down the leftover Jedi who had successfully survived Order 66.

Now, based on the timeline of the show, the galaxy would be in total shambles and as for the Jedi, there would not be many of them left. So, it would make sense for the Inquisitors to step into live-action right now. After all, it would also give the Jedi Master a great challenge while simultaneously setting up the ultimate fight with Vader.

Inquisitors

We must also say that there’s another angle to this all- since the Inquisitors are actually previous Jedi Knights so it’s definitely possible that Kenobi will be remembering the past of Ingram’s character before the entire galaxy went into chaos. Also, it would allow the show to dive deeper into her character as well as the state of the ordinary Jedi once the order was imposed.

Irrespective of it all, at least we can be sure that Ingram is all set to play a really important role in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. Also, we are excited to see her chemistry with Ewan McGregor, who has revealed that he has begun shooting for Obi-Wan Kenobi and has shot a scene with “someone very special.” He also said that he will be wearing a little different costume in the Star Wars Disney+ series. Now, all this just makes us more excited.

Disney+ show Obi-Wan Kenobi will be premiering in 2022.
