Marvel fans were thrilled when South Korean actor Park Seo-Joon was cast in an undisclosed role in The Marvels, but the latest trailer has finally revealed his MCU character.

Prince Yan: Park Seo-Joon’s Role In The Marvels

The trailer offers a glimpse of Park Seo-Joon’s character, Prince Yan, sporting long, flowing hair and a colorful outfit with shoulder pads resembling wings. He is also shown wielding a sword and surrounded by others wearing horned masks, preparing to face off against the movie’s villain and her Kree soldiers.

The film’s press release features Park Seo-Joon alongside the main cast, including Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, and Zawe Ashton. However, as he is listed last, it is assumed that his role may be smaller than the others’.

Aldana, The Planet Of Song And Dance

Rumors that The Marvels would incorporate musical elements have also been confirmed. In the trailer, the characters are seen performing a choreographed dance sequence, hinting at a plotline inspired by Issue #9 of Captain Marvel, where the residents of Aldana communicate entirely through rhyme.

Prince Yan is set to play one of the planet’s royalty, suggesting that Aldana will feature in The Marvels. The trailer also hints that Aldana may be the location where Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers obtain their new costumes.

The Marvels’ plot is still shrouded in mystery, and while it is unclear how significant Park Seo-Joon’s role will be, fans are excited to see him in action in the MCU.
