ReelBlend’s Kevin McCarthy asked X-Men star Patrick Stewart about the rumors that he would be back as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Stewart said that he didn’t want to address it at all.

Social media trends to his name were on the rise after the trailer premiered. When asked, Stewart said that he was too busy to look at it, even though so many people were contacting him because of the new trailer.

Though we may have heard his voice in the trailer, Mr. Stewart had only this to say:

“I was at home, watching football”

Of course, he’d be at home, but he’s Professor X. We all know what he can do (wink wink)

“I don’t look at a lot of social media, and that is mostly a time issue. But, I must say, before bedtime on Sunday evening, I’ve had plenty of communication, friends and some people I hardly knew at all making reference to ‘Is that you?! Is that you?!’ Well, of course, you know, I was just at home waiting to watch football, so how could it possibly have been me? So we’ll have to wait and see, won’t we?”

When ComicBook asked him about whether if the fans were right about his voice in the trailer, he said that someone was imitating his voice. He looked back at how people have been doing that for the better part of 60 years of his career and said he had no role in this trailer.

“You know, people have been imitating my voice ever since I came on the stage 60 years ago,” Stewart said of the trailer. “So, I can’t be held responsible for that.”

Could Patrick Stewart Be In The Movie?

As Andrew Garfield and the rest of the cast of No Way Home did in 2021, Patrick Stewart has kept quiet about anything that could be a spoiler for Marvel Studios’ next big movie.

Steven Stewart has been in a lot of superhero movies over the years. He played Charles Xavier in X-Men from 2000 to 2017 and in Logan from 2017 to 2018. So, he could still play the role even now.

After the Fox-Disney Merger, many primary properties have returned to Marvel. With the X-Men now under the control of Marvel Studios, the chance for a return is something that can’t be passed up.

After the second trailer for Multiverse of Madness came out, fans thought Stewart’s voice was heard addressing the MCU’s Doctor Strange. There were also rumors that the Illuminati were involved. The Illuminati is an organization established to review multiversal and superhero crimes.
