The Infinity Saga, aka, Phase 3 of the MCU ended with End Game, and with it ended the original Avenger’s team. The original six are either dead, retired or training new heros. New heros have been rising in Phase 4, but it’s no easy job filling the shoes of Captain America and Iron Man.

The multiverse saga has opened doors for many possibilities in the MCU but it as also unleashed the next big baddie of Marvel – Kang The Conqueror. Though we still have many of our phase 3 superheros (Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, Ant Man, Spiderman) to save the multiverse, are any of the new or upcoming heros powerful enough to stand against Kang? Let’s discover.

Adam Warlock

Even before his appearance on the big screen, Warlock has created a lot of hype around his name, and rightly so. From the very beginning, he has been amongst the most powerful heros in the comics and has went against the likes of Thanos and Mephisto. With powers such as superhuman strength, teleportation, cosmic awareness, he’s a formidable ally against Kang.

Shang-Chi

We’ve already fallen in love with Simu Liu’s adaptation of the character and can’t wait to watch him on the big screen again! Although he isn’t strong enough to stop Kang on his own, with his father’s rings at his disposal, he would be able to stir some real trouble for The Conqueror.

America Chavez

We haven’t yet got the chance to look into the full extent of her powers in the MCU, but in the source material, she has some amazing set of abilities. Even if the movies decide to do away with rest of her powers, her ability to puch a hole and create a doorway into different universes is beyond impressive and could be a great help against Kang.

Moon Knight

How can a guy who is an avatar of a literal God be left out of this list? The duo (or trio if we include Steven) has shown some really interesting feats of power in the Disney+ show – from coming back from the dead to controlling the sky.

Moon Knight hasn’t yet understood the complete extent of his powers in the cinematic universe, and the current relationship between Steven, Marc and Khonshu isn’t at its best. However, if they find a way to put aside their differences and find an agreement, Moon Knight could make a really strong ally in the fight against Kang.

She Hulk

In the very first episode of the Disney+ show, we saw that Jennifer isn’t messing around. She is (almost) as strong and capable as her cousin. On top of that, she doesn’t have to battle an alter ego to stay in control as a Hulk, hence she would be able to make intelligent decisions during a battle. So, in case of a face-off between She-Hulk and Kang, he is sure going to regret making her angry.

Ironheart

Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne is set to make her MCU entrance later this year in the upcoming Black Panther movie. For those of you who don’t know her, she is mostly a normal human, but has a big brain and a badass suit of armour. She is even smarter than Tony Stark! By the release of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Riri would be an established hero. Against a foe like him, our heros would be more in need of Riri’s intelligence than her gadgets.

All of these heros have impressive powers and abilities, but they’re not a team yet, and most of them are inexperienced. Even though they might not be able to replace the original six, it is going to be fun watching them face one of the biggest threats yet in the MCU.
