Moon Knight star Rey Lucas conveyed his excitement for the arrival of the X-Men while discussing Marvel Cinematic Universe developments. Elias Lucas, the father of Marc Spector, admitted to being a huge fan of the Marvel mutants despite the fact that he grew up reading comic books by the same publisher.

The young man explained:

“I grew up a huge fan of the comic books. Not as much Moon Knight, I was pretty [big on] X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, not to play favourites, but you know.” “I’m glad they’re bringing them over finally [to the MCU].”

Rey Lucas, who plays Elias Spector in the Moon Knight film, says the X-Men joining the MCU is something he’s looking forward to. As for bringing them over, “I’m glad to see them” picture by YqOmeb4wLA on Twitter: https://t.co/FIzrd2YAML According to Variety (@Variety) on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Lucas also lauded Marvel’s ability to keep the MCU fresh with new characters and new takes on familiar faces:

“That’s what I love about Marvel. They’re always introducing new characters and finding different ways to tell the story, and even the same characters have new elements of them developed and introduced.”

While Lucas may not have specifically mentioned the X-Men in his remarks, producer Richie Palmer’s response to a question about Professor X’s rumored appearance in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness does mirror the actor’s own comments. According to Palmer, “there are infinite ways to portray these characters, and just because something sounds familiar doesn’t mean it’s a familiar face.”

Expectations From Doctor Strange Are Heightened

Professor X's Dark Side Could Be Explored In The MCU

A trailer for Multiverse of Madness showed a glimpse of Sir Patrick Stewart’s character, and the actor confirmed that he would appear in the Marvel Studios movie. There is no official word on whether or not Stewart will return to the role of Professor X in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, with even the film’s director Sam Raimi unable to give an answer. Patrick Stewart may or may not appear in the film, Raimi said. The only thing Marvel will allow me to say is that.

Professor X is still a mystery, but a recent ScreenX trailer for Multiverse of Madness shows an apparent clearer look at Stewart’s character. Even though most of it was taken from previous trailers, the preview featured what appeared to be the back of Stewart’s head and his yellow hoverchair. It’s not out of the question that Professor X from the beloved X-Men: The Animation Series could be the inspiration for Multiverse of Madness’s Professor X.
