Black Panther: Wakanda Forever marks the end of phase 4 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and phase 5 has already been confirmed, with the lineup being finalized. But everything is building up to the two Avengers films that will conclude phase 6 and bring the Multiverse Saga to a finale. Two of the most anticipated films are, specifically, Avengers: Secret Wars and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and it has been reported that Ryan Coogler was given the task of directing the former by the Marvel executives.

For those who are unfamiliar, Avengers: Secret Wars, the final film in phase 6, will feature a reunion of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. According to rumors, the studio intends to make the film a unique experience and seeks perfection. According to earlier reports, the Russo Brothers, who directed Avengers: Endgame, had even expressed interest in filling the position.

However, it appears like Kevin Feige and the crew have another plan for Avengers: Secret Wars. While the news that the Russo Brothers wanted to helm this specific tale was circulating, rumors surfaced that the studio was considering recruiting Ryan Coogler, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director, to undertake the job. No finally the director has spoken about it.

The most eagerly anticipated Marvel movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is now being promoted by Ryan Coogler. According to the reports, Ryan chose to sound absolutely uninformed when asked if he is now in charge of Avengers: Secret Wars. According to the reports, he said I have no idea about that, “I’m attempting to complete this one.” Now, it’s nothing new for the MCU cast and crew to act as though they don’t know anything before the big reveal.

It is understandable why many people are worried about who might direct Avengers: Secret Wars, given the immense responsibility of wrapping up The Multiverse Saga, a plot that has been created across 36 currently confirmed MCU productions. In addition, Coogler has the necessary franchise expertise thanks to his prior achievements with Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as well as his upcoming MCU involvement. But since the sequel hasn’t yet been released, Coogler is still involved in Ironheart’s production and is planning to create a Disney+ series about Wakanda. As a result, it’s possible that the director will prioritize smaller projects before even considering Avengers: Secret Wars.
