Victor Von Doom, the legendary Fantastic Four villain, has received a great deal of attention. Marvel fans get ready for the upcoming release of Black Panther 2. Early reports even suggested that Doom might appear in the MCU’s fourth and final Phase 4 film. Establishing him as a supervillain before he actually assumes the lead roles in the Fantastic Four and Avengers: Secret Wars movies in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
With speculations that Black Panther 2 only includes one post-credit sequence, which has been called “very touching,” as the movie draws to a conclusion, those suspicions have reportedly been dispelled, which is disappointing.
The reason why Namor, rather than Doctor Doom, is the antagonist in the follow-up is stated by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler.
Doom Is An Incredible Character
Coogler talked about why he chose to make Namor the antagonist of Wakanda Forever. Doom is an incredible character in Marvel Comics, the director said. He is among the big ones. Unlike Namor, he has been portrayed in movies in a variety of ways. Since there haven’t been any depictions, I believe that’s what most intrigued me about Namor. It was just writing for Namor; you had no baggage from other performers, other performances, or other films. Doom, in my opinion, is a little unique. But what a remarkable character, man!
Dr. Doom Not The Main Villain In Fantastic Four
Due to the extremely unfavourable response Fan4stic received from fans, Toby Kebbell’s portrayal of the character was completely forgotten.
Given that his position in Secret Wars is expected to be as significant as it is in the comics, this may be the reason Marvel is reportedly avoiding using Doctor Doom as the primary antagonist for the Fantastic Four in 2025. Nevertheless, Ryan Coogler, the film’s director, believes that the entrance of the supervillain, Doom, is something that must be done well, despite any baggage he could bring.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in theatres on November 11th.
